Good to see SITS bounce back. Also good to see that A Message improved, but maybe that was thanks to last-minute votes that occurred after Hope for Haiti Now.

 

Last minute shocker prediction: Viva la Vida will miss the Top 10. :P

running through the result patterns, its pretty obvious how an influx of new fans off the viva-era causes songs off the most recent album to be over-rated and older stuff like parachutes, E.P.'s and b-sides to be underappreciated.

I also found it really interesting how 'The Hardest Part' jumped 16 places. Obviously that's entirely due to the live solo piano version, although it probably should be divorced from the album version.

The lists from previous years, esp. 2006 was pretty decent, now all the awesome tracks are descending, and the crap tracks are ascending. Frankly I'm horrified to see the top 10. for don't panic to go from 5 to 15th is criminal.

42 being ahead of anything other than VLV is just wrong

The top 10 really does show us what "mainstream listeners" really think of the band, though.

 

It is interesting to note that the two highest ranked non-singles were the bookends of AROBTTH.

Ok Top 10 Time....We'll try to finish this today. Yeah there's enough comments on the lists to simply say...yes i agree. I may go back through the data and take out the lists of anyone below 500 posts and see if we get a drastically different list and publish that as a seperate Top 25 (and post it quciker)
