March 1, 201016 yr So we left La Mancha Headed out for higher plains Me and Sancho Panza Looking for adventure Rosinante at the reins To the windmills answer You'll never be lonely You'll never be lonely ever again You'll never be lonely You'll never be lonely again I heard you never get wet in Spanish rain So they sent the doctor, for examining my brain Said he's not too clear Oh when the world, when the world just seems, a little bit too cruel Gonna leave it better Make one better So tell that princess Tell that princess right down the train --> not sure but I'd say he's singing "right down that reign". There are no trains in Don Quixote, I think it makes more sense :P Tell that princess She'll never be lonely again I heard you never get wet in Spanish rain Ooh, ooh I heard you never get wet in Spanish rain I heard you never get wet in Spanish rain Woo ooh, Wooh ooh Heard you never get wet in Spanish rain
March 1, 201016 yr he said this in rio Gonna make one better One where we're always together sounds a bit like "for an insular terrain" earlier on? dunno about the rest though, and i'm sure its train not reign, I think he's just referring to those 'fall in love with a stranger on a train' moments
March 1, 201016 yr ^that's it! I couldn't get anything but "together" with mumbles. Good ear! And Im not sure about the whole "train" line...It just really doesn't fit.
March 2, 201016 yr Author How many shows are left? I've a feeling we'll have just as many versions...and titles:laugh3: I love these guys!
March 2, 201016 yr Well heres what i think of the lyrics, just a few changes that i think are correct but not totally sure... 'So we left La Mancha Headed out for higher plains Me and Sancho Panza Looking for adventure Rosinante at the reins To the windmills answer You'll never be lonely You'll never be lonely ever again You'll never be lonely You'll never be lonely again I heard you never get wet in Spanish rain So they sent the doctor, for examining my brain Said he's not too clever <---pretty positive on that after the second show that they sang that they sang this song Oh when the world, when the world just seems, a little bit too cruel Gonna leave it better Make one better So tell that princess Tell that princess lie down and dream <--- another possibility that i thought of, seems to fit more than the train line Tell that princess She'll never be lonely again I heard you never get wet in Spanish rain Ooh, ooh I heard you never get wet in Spanish rain I heard you never get wet in Spanish rain Woo ooh, Wooh ooh Heard you never get wet in Spanish rain' thats all for now, and hi everyone, i'm new :) my name is Caity

March 4, 201016 yr Hey guys, I just was thinking: Don Quixote is very similar to a part of "Dancing in the dark" by Bruce Springsten. What do you think?
March 4, 201016 yr ^Yep, quite a few have noticed it. Also, could "right down the train" be "slide down the drain"?
March 4, 201016 yr is Don Quixote now known as Spanish Rain? or did the oracle confuse me? The following is a little interesting . . . Did you read that story about the fan that met Chris at one of the gigs and asked him that question already? "After that we were supposed to leave because another group of journalists would go in, but I was able to have a small chat with Chris against security orders. I asked him how was the new song called afterall 'cause he'd named it both Don Quijote and Spanish Rain and we were puzzled. He said it'd be called Spanish Rain probably, because they have another new song called Don Quijote. They still don't know what to do with these 2 songs and I was all: Wow 2 songs, that's even better."
March 4, 201016 yr I'm the one who asked Chris about the song :P And I recorded it again in Sao Paulo! Here it goes :nice: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVX3HjL1_QQ]YouTube- Spanish Rain - Coldplay live[/ame]
March 5, 201016 yr Ooh very interesting. I was wondering what it's 'official' title was. Was he just joking then in Buenos Aires since people also laugh after he says it? Since it seems it's always referred to as 'Spanish Rain' now (the oracle, Chris in Roadie 42's info, etc.)
March 5, 201016 yr How crazy... I'm watching Jeopardy right now and one of the "questions" was "Who is Don Quixote?" WHAT A COINKIEDINK
March 5, 201016 yr I think it sounds like, "Tell that princess slide down the drain". :laugh3::laugh3:
March 5, 201016 yr just added the following to wikipedia: The British acclaimed band Coldplay premiered a song during their 2010 Latin American Tour called Don Quixote (Spanish Rain). From the lyrics, it is evidenced the strong influence from the novel, with Chris Martin specifically singing: So we left La Mancha / Headed out for higher plains / Me and Sancho Panza / Looking for adventure / Rocinante at the reins / To the windmills answer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_quixote
March 5, 201016 yr im already in love with this song, and realised that i had a "Don Quixote" in my Coldplay collection  before i actually knew the song  look: left now my collection has improved :charming:
