btw the nigerian in your avi totally looks like a zombie.

He was probably preparing to foul Messi like they did all game.

Just in time for the Greece - Nigeria "contest":

Bahahahaha...

On a more serious note, I think Nigeria can win this if their keeper plays as well as he did last round.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! NIGERIA

explain to me how you reached that conclusion.

I wasn't talking about him being racist against Blacks, in particular. Just Africans or any 3rd world country for that matter. It's pretty obvious from his attitude and what he said earlier and other times to me, which I won't talk about now. It is just not true or fair to just let the World Cup be in the "big football" countries, as he said. It is a universal game and the whole world watches it. Just because they are not brilliant in football it doesn't mean they are not big fans or watch it enthusiastically. They have every right to have the World Cup held there.

I'm beyond hyped about these next two days. So many good games. Going to bed now so I can wake up bright and early to watch my boy Lionel take control of this tournament.

Stop acting like you know shit about Messi, seriously. Have you been truly following him in La Liga? And Ibra isn't that good of a player.. as much I love him, I have to admit he played very poorly in the rest of the season and also Villa hasn't played for Barca yet.. You should be talking about players like Xavi and Iniesta, which I'm sure you'd know if you happened to watch any La Liga.

Greece are just helpless. I don't know how they qualified beating Ukraine in the play offs.

Nigeria are well worth second place in the group. Greece and South Korea are just abysmal.

South Korea's performance against Argentina was just appalling in every aspect. BUT they highlighted the fact that Argentina's defence is just not up to standard. Maradona is only attack minded and that tactic will prove to be Argentina's downfall in this World Cup. They are lucky that they are in a very easy group but in later rounds I can just see the other top nations exploiting Argentina's high pressing game and punishing them on the break and Maradona's tactical ineptness. It's all very well being a great attacking team but you have to have a good plan further back and Argentina don't have that I'm afraid.

You're dead right about Xavi and Iniesta. It's such a cliche to start waxing lyrical about Messi (and very commercialised would you believe) but those two lads are the REAL stars of Barcelona. They are the core of Barcelona and Spain. One of if not the greatest double act football has ever seen. So good that Cesc Fabregas can't even get into the Spain side! I'd rather have Iniesta and Xavi in my side than Messi and I'm sure Pep Guardiola agrees.

Dead right Greece 1-1! Just a shame that they only started believing in themselves when Nigeria went down to 10 men.

Greece shouldn't have any problems winning this now. Nigeria's freeflowing football will take a blow with one less up front

smash some plates and throw some feta cheese at the walls its 1-1!

Eat your heart out Motty!

such a stupid thing for the nigerian player to do. they were in control until that and now they'll be lucky to hang on. if they don't qualify it's mostly his fault since this was almost guaranteed three points.

That second goal...what was going on? I thought for sure someone was going to blow a whistle or kick it out. Greece's style of play is horrendous. Nigeria deserved that game.

Sara Carbonero stands a few feet away from her boyfriend in goal at the game

Spain keeper's girlfriend lambasts goal 'muck-up' on TV

The TV reporter girlfriend of Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas demanded he explain a blunder which lost them their match against Switzerland, live on TV. The stunned shot-stopper walked off when his girlfriend asked him after the game: "How did you muck that up?"

Spanish fans have reacted angrily saying reporter Sara Carbonero, once voted the world's sexiest journalist, distracted him during the game. In their opening game of the tournament Switzerland beat Spain 1-0. After the post-match interview, Spanish football websites erupted in indignation, blaming 25-year-old Carbonero for "sapping his strength".

She makes Erin Andrews look like trailer trash.

Yay for Greece! That game was nuts! Even with 10 men Nigeria did play wonderfully. I'm glad Greece finally got a win, though. :P

Good win by Greece! They took full advantage of their extra man and deserve their win.
