Yeah i know, don't why i made that wonderful move.

I took Salcido out of my fantasy team but had Guardado who didn't play. :bigcry:

Besides the first goal, which was a clear offside, the referee was favouring France.

If you had watched the replay, you'd know it wasn't an offside.

I don't think the referee favoured anyone.

France was so unbelievably dissappointing. They played terribly. And why didn't Henry play? I think it would've been a much different game if he came in, or even started.

Their team definitely could have used a hand.

Stole that one from you Mark.

I don't think so. Specially 'cause I knew it'd happen.

What could he have done? A hand goal?

I wouldn't be surprised if Nigeria upset the Argentinians. How capable are Argentina of winning the world cup? I guess we'll find out quite a bit in the next 90 minutes.

I was browsing through past pages. Eat your words :P

Mostly out of boredom, I'm gonna go ahead and make my entire tournament predictions in this thread.

Group A

Mexico 1st

Uruguay 2nd

Well I saw it and I'm not sure now, it was a pretty closed play... but one curious thing was that French did not complain about any of the decisions, which means it was either fair or the french are well disciplinated.

Or they couldn't give a "Bafana Bafana".........................

he was definitely onside, it's just that the run and pass were so perfectly timed that the french defenders didn't even bother to chase him.

Uruguay 1st

Mexico 2nd

France 3rd

South africa 4rd

Uruguay vs Greece ( S.Korea)

Mexico vs Argentina

Well after several repetitions Hernandez was onside. He was just on the line.

Fortunately for Mexico Henry did not play because , despite the hand goal, he's an ezcellent player. In addition, French playes just like a bunch of isolated talented individuals not as a team.

Domenech is the idiot of the whole world cup!

Poor France...

That sucked. That really sucked. It was so well executed. :wreck:

Told you! :dozey::rolleyes::lol::wink3:

Wow. France again were so so poor. Such good players but such a poor team. Nearing the end of a calamatous and at times fortunate and flukey 6 years of Domenech management. They'll be in some safe hands under Laurent Blanc who will follow Domenech. A great natural leader and a real star when he was playing for France over a decade ago particularly during France 98. A real legend and a real bright new star in management. The job he did at Bordeaux from 2007 was incredible.

Well to be fair the Nigerians almost got a result....almost. Still don't believe Argentina can win with that defending though. Shoddy and far from brilliant. ;)

Yes, Nigeria certainly gave them a game, but what other top team has shown you they can make a deep run in this tournament? Certainly not Spain, England, Portugal, or Italy. Of course it's far too early to know anything for sure, but you must admit that they are playing better than you expected.

They're playing just what I expected them to. Incredible attack, not great defending. It's just the other teams haven't exactly performed to their ability. They remind me of Kevin Keegan's Newcastle United team from the mid nineties ie 'Doesn't matter how much you score against us as long as we score more than you'. Unfortunately for Keegan's side it unravelled fairly spectacularly despite having a 12 point lead mid way through the 1995-1996 season. I wouldn't be surprised Josh, if Argentina were involved in a game similar to this in this World Cup. Watch it and enjoy!

Liverpool 4 - 3 Newcastle United
