That sucked. That really sucked. It was so well executed. :wreck:

No, it was awesome. really awesome. Because it was so well executed. Now you support France along with England and the States? That's a sacrilegious truimvirate.

Shit happens sometimes..

Yes, it does, but it's just stupid to try to guess in which game the shit will happen.

You should always bet on the obvious result.

Germany 2 - 1 Serbia

Slovenia 1 - 1 USA

Algeria 1 - 3 England

Well, I'm going with:

Germany 2 - 0 Serbia

Slovenia 0 - 1 USA

Algeria 0 - 2 England

Your guesses are similar to mine:

Germany - Serbia 2-1 (maybe 2-0)

Slovenia - USA 1-1

England - Algeria 2-0

So far I am positively surprised by Germany and now also Argentina in Thursday's match. These two teams should go far.

They're playing just what I expected them to. Incredible attack, not great defending. It's just the other teams haven't exactly performed to their ability. They remind me of Kevin Keegan's Newcastle United team from the mid nineties ie 'Doesn't matter how much you score against us as long as we score more than you'. Unfortunately for Keegan's side it unravelled fairly spectacularly despite having a 12 point lead mid way through the 1995-1996 season. I wouldn't be surprised Josh, if Argentina were involved in a game similar to this in this World Cup. Watch it and enjoy!

Liverpool 4 - 3 Newcastle United

YouTube- Newcastle 4 3

I would cry. That's just my mindset. My mindset is score more than the other guy. Although it isn't always the safest route, it's the style I love the most. It's why my favorite Hockey team is the Washington Capitals, and why I play Striker in Football, Attack in Lacrosse, and Center in Hockey. For me, winning a game by scoring goals is much more thrilling than playing solid defense and winning 1-0. It's the reason why I find teams like Argentina, Germany, and Brasil absolutely fantastic to watch. It's just the way I am hahah.

Ruthless Capello dumps keeper Robert Green for crucial England World Cup clash

As England fans gather in Cape Town for tonight's crucial World Cup match with Algeria in Cape Town, the Daily Mail can exclusively reveal that David James will replace Robert Green in goal.

The West Ham keeper has paid the price for his embarrassing mistake against the United States last Saturday night.

The switch again shows England boss Fabio Capello's ruthless streak.

Green was shaky in training on Thursday night at the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town and that is understood to have provided the final evidence for Capello in his decision.

The Italian has opted to go for the experience of 39-year-old James, who was upset at being left out for the opening match against the USA in Rustenburg.

At home, tens of thousands of people are expected to walk out of work early to secure the best spots in pubs and bars.

It will make today the biggest day of the year so far for breweries.

The drinks industry will make an extra £37million on top of the normal £100million, according to a spokesman for the British Beer and Pub Association.

Around nine million more pints than usual will be pulled as England take on Algeria.

Bookies are also rubbing their hands with glee as punters are expected to bet £25million on the match - the most ever put on an England game.

Thousands of supporters are planning to watch the game on big screens around the country.

Officials in Bristol, who are expecting 11,000 to descend on the city's big screen, have put in place extra safety measures after the screening of England's first game was marred by drunken vandalism and unruly behaviour.

They have banned alcohol, improved safety fences and are only letting in fans with tickets.

Fans heading to the big screen in Manchester will also be carefully vetted after trouble broke out during the last England match.

Supporters - many of whom declined to be named - yesterday told of how they are planning to secure the best seat for England's second match in South Africa.

One employee, who works for a publishing company, said: 'I'll be out early to grab a good seat at the front of the pub.

'This is a massive game for us and a few of the lads are calling in sick. I don't want to be the one who turns up late.'

A builder from Yate, near Bristol, said: 'I'll be knocking off around 4pm to get home, showered and changed ready for the match.

'If anyone asks, I'll tell them I've had to nip out and pick up some supplies.'

Bosses at dating website Forget Dinner, in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, are refusing to take a sympathetic line.

'I'm a big England fan but there's no way I'm letting my staff finish work early - kick-off isn't until 7.30pm so there's plenty of time to get to the pub,' one said.

'I'll be cheering our boys on tonight along with everybody else, but I don't see why I should pay my employees to - effectively - just get drunk early.'

  • World Cup winner Nobby Stiles was recovering in hospital yesterday after a stroke. The 68-year- old, who played every minute of England's 1966 campaign and was known for his ferocious tackling, collapsed earlier this week.

Shit happens sometimes..

hahaha

I didn't know the Germany game was going to be on so early :bigcry:

Well, can't go to sleep now

Their team definitely could have used a hand.

:P Hope so. I'm actually surprised at the lack of shit he got after that.

What do you mean? People haven't stopped talking about it since!:dozey:

the pressure is on england tonight. both germany and argentina have sent out strong signals that they mean business now if england is to pose any threat whatsoever to either of those teams, they really need to thump algeria tonight. if the game isnt over within the first hour, england and their fans should be worried.
