You french people should be very mad with Domenech... He is so ironic in his faces! In the match against Mexico the camera showed him many times! He was watching a concert or a play, but not the match!:stunned:

Tomorrow the Brazil's match... So anxious!

Pretty excited about the Brasil v Ivory Coast match. It should be a very good game. My Brasilian friend and I are going to a Brasilian Churrasco restaurant to watch it, I can't wait. Drogba should be playing more (I hope), but I wonder if Ivory Coast's defense can handle Brasil's striking power (which didn't totally impress me in their match against North Korea).

I think the U.S. game just outbeats the Denmark game in terms of excitement though I'm biased. I was watching the cameroon gameat work without sound, was there a dispute over the 2nd denmark goal? ESPN made it look like it was disallowed for an offsides call, and it took several minutes for them to show it on the board.

Humm, churrasco!! :D You'll watch in Argentina?

Kaká isn't good, and without him the team loses quality.

But I trust mainly in Robinho and Maicon, brilliant players... GO BRAZIL!

Day№10

my predictions:

Slovakia 1-1 Paraguai

Italy 1-0 New Zealand

Brazil 3-2 Ivory Coast

Forza Italia!!!

nao to na argentina :) I'm still in the US hahah

Churrasco is a type of meat here

Brazilian churrasco! :cheesy: That reminds me they were a fiasco against North Korea... this has been a weird world cup thus far, not even Argentina is a clear favourite to win the cup, let's see how Brazil performs tomorrow against Côte d'Ivoire, will be a great game (I hope so).

Argentina is the only standout team to me so far...Yes, we'll see if Brasil can handle Drogba and the Ivorians (I had to google the demonym hahah).

its been mental this world cup...

The replay clearly showed it was handball, therefore the red card was fully justified as he directly prevented a goal from being scored.;)

it is only a red card if you intentionally stick your arm out to stop the ball. kewell showed no intention whatsoever so stop the goal with his arm, they were 'almost' by his sides. at worst it was a yellow card. and nobody is arguing that it was a clear penalty. im not saying that aus would of won last night if we had 11 men but it sure would of been a better match.

for the most part the reffing in this world cup has been very very good aside from some very inconsistent calls and the ref who decided to take centre stage during germany v serbia.

It was fair decision but kinda cruel for Australia:(

i thought it was intentional

his arm moved away from his body

You're right. It did, even though he tried to "conceal" it. There have been some ludicrous yellow and red cards handed out, but that wasn't one of them.;)

his arm was already away from his body when the shot was made. the shot was taken less than 10 yards from him so i fail to see how he had the time to intentionally move his arm away from his body in order to block the shot. makes no sense to me. the entire nation woke up this morning feeling very emotional, it was a mix of annoyance of losing yet another big name to a red card and feeling very proud of the 10 men who were left on the field against a clearly superior Ghanaian outfit and held on for a draw and had imo the closest chance at goal in the second half.

most of us realise the dream is over (making the round of 16) so we'll be satisfied at a good victory against serbia.

the second replay shows it best. he can have no complaints. the funniest bit was he told the referee to look at the big screen to watch it again. had he done so kewell would have had to apologise and admit he handballed it.

I don't see how you can beat Serbia, they are damn strong now

How do you explain the fact they're so bad then?

Ribery is a very good player, that's what I said, but it just doesn't work with the others...

Against Uruguay, at least, they put up a decent effort. Ah, I miss the glory days :(
