June 19, 201016 yr So sad that one man can ruin so much. And even if there's mischeif behind it all that happens is that he won't be able to ref more games. The system doesn't work :(
June 19, 201016 yr I'm glad he'll be taken out. He deserves it. I just wish they'd reverse the call. But they can't. And I feel like the entire thing might've been intentional. He called an "offside" at first, but A) there was no offside and B) he justified it because of "pushing" and "shoving" when the fuckin' Slovenians were doing 90% of the pushing. THAT'S NOT OFFSIDE, TOO. I'm still SO angry from all this.
June 19, 201016 yr They didn't play well at all! They're great players but they just can't play together.. Disagree :\ and Ribery is, pardons to Messi, the best player in the tournament.
June 19, 201016 yr A win but not convincing. Thumbs down for Afellay could have squared the ball to Van Persie for a better goal scoring opportunity chose to shoot, had a great chance at goal and the keeper saved it.
June 19, 201016 yr Australia with 10 men again, that handball did not deserve a red card. A PK obviously, but it was never deliberate.
June 19, 201016 yr ^I like your new avi, but wish it didn't exist :dozey: Holland win then?
June 19, 201016 yr Figured. I saw the first half then the royal wedding started and I lost rights to the TV :\
June 19, 201016 yr I hope the Aussies do get something out of this for their great fan support, but its gonna be hard.
June 19, 201016 yr i have no comment on the red card. but what i will say is that we need to forget about this defensive style and go for the win.
June 19, 201016 yr Nicolas Anelka missed training today after a massive bust up (again) with coach Raymond Domenech. Anelka shouted to Domenech's face 'go screw yourself, dirty son of a whore'. Complete loss of control and discipline within the French camp. It's a bit cheap from Anelka as well because he, in both matches, played appalling football. http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5jv5rxKTwTTIjmY5IKkSheWeEAZGg And there's clearly tension in the England camp between Fabio Capello and goalkeeper David James following a very sarcastic interview on BBC Radio 5 Live from the player. As I recall it's not the first time Capello has been involved in a rift with one of his own players. At Real Madrid Capello said to Ronaldo (Brazilian striker) 'Aren't you ashamed of being so fat?'. Shame he hasn't said anything similar to that to Wayne Rooney and co. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/world-cup-2010/teams/england/7840033/England-goalkeeper-David-James-hints-at-tensions-in-camp.html
June 19, 201016 yr knowing that the giants of world football are struggling brings some consolation to the failures of australia.
June 19, 201016 yr It's a bit cheap from Anelka as well because he, in both matches, played appalling football. :inquisitive: He played well in the first game. Didn't see the entire second.
