just hope the whole seating/setup issue's sorted out & things'll go smoothly… *fingers crossed*

Don't worry kimgan, someone from the SP board emailed the HMV Forum and the pit will still be seated (people who were supposed to be in the pit for the 2nd show will be "relocated" in the upper stalls (balcony) ;)

Time to leave for London! See you everyone! ^^

Looking forward to hear the girls' reviews, too!

In the meantime, here are the Absolute Radio live session and the interview:

Question. So is Lisa Hannigan actually in the band or was she just there for the radio session? I've never seen her name as a bandmember, and Gary didn't mention her when he was talking about the bandmembers. I think she should still be with Damien Rice, anyways.

AFAIK Lisa isn't part of Tired Pony. but she was there at the gig last nite & pretty much covering for Zooey's vocal parts (I suppose it was either Lisa/Miriam if they needed a stand-in for Zooey & I think Lisa's style suits the TP mood/songs more).

& other than Zooey, the whole TP gang was there. incl Garrett's 2 adorable little girls! :)

@Kimmi: I must have seen you cause I was also waiting for Gary with arwen88 (Virginie ^^) We were the two french brunettes (I was the small one with braids in my hair).

I will post a detail review later when my vids will be upload (I film ALL the banters :D) I was in row E, so I had a very good view and I have some good pics. The gig was just magical and probably one of the most unique I will ever witness. To see so many talented musicians taking so much fun playing together as if it was a small 'impro' in their home living room, is just was music should always be about: sharing, fun and joy.

We met Gary after the show and I asked him about an eventual DVD (cause they were cameras). He told me me that was the plan but if for some reason it wouldn't be possible, they would put the footage online on the website ^^

As for me, I had the most surreal experience the day before cause I met him in a small pizza place in Camden (the Pizza Express accross the Dublin Castle!! *coldplay karma*). I won't enter into details but I was dining there with a friend and he came by to order pizzas to go (a lot, so I supposed it was for the band). I didn't ask him for an autograph or a photo cause I didn't want to drew attention on him (nobody noticed him!) but when he was on his way out, I went to talk discretly to him and he was adorable with me. He seemed really happy and amused by the irony of the situation (started by telling him I was going to saw TP). He came back afterwards to pick up his delievery ^^ On our way home (my friend lives in Kentish town) we passed before the HMV and saw Tom (from Snow Patrol) who said hello to me when he saw me looking at him with a stupid grin on my face XD and Richard ^^

Overall, these two 'Tired Pony' days have been surreal and amazing!

Back from London, not sure if all this really happened! :smug:

nothing yet? Guess our girls were exhausted by the sheer awesomeness of it all and will report back tomorrow! ;)

Indeed we were! But that was totally worth it! It was all pretty intense, but in such a perfect way that sleep depravation is only a small price to pay :p

I found videos!

Thanks Christina, the quality is great! The new song were really good, so much "punchier" than the album in general, it kind of completes it! And it was precisely what was needed to literally make us stand and, as Gary said it, to "shake [our] asses"! :D

@Kimmi: I must have seen you cause I was also waiting for Gary with arwen88 (Virginie ^^) We were the two french brunettes (I was the small one with braids in my hair).

And I was the other one who kept going from the small shelter on the right* to the entrance, trying to avoid the rain and cold (in vain)!

(*there was a door through which I heard Gary's voice twice.. true story ^^)

Actually when you took this pic :

Aurélie and I were on the right corner, behind the man with the glasses.

I find it difficult to make a proper review, cause I'm still overwhelmed by the emotions of last night. But that was really a fantastic show, and I feel very lucky to have been in the audience! I was also in row E, center stage, between Gary and Peter Buck (closer to G), but my pics aren't that great. I have a few good vids though, must take the time to upload them.

All the musicians on stage were incredible. The band kept smiling throughout the gig, we could see they were having a wonderful time, just enjoying playing together and sharing their music.

To see so many talented musicians taking so much fun playing together as if it was a small 'impro' in their home living room, is just was music should always be about: sharing, fun and joy.

This is exactly how I see it, especially with the acoustic version of Point Me At Lost Islands! It's one of my favourite moment of the show, that was absolutely surreal and magical!

I was happily surprised to see Lisa Hannigan, and I loved her duet with Gary on Get On The Road, which is my favourite song! (at least in my top 3). It actually brought tears to my eyes, they were both radiant!

I'm sure I'll never experience something like that again, and I do hope that TP won't stop here and will continue to amaze us! ^^
