September 3, 201015 yr England bemuse me they really do. And btw, Wembley is turning out to be quite a fortress for them. That was their 11th game won in a row there and the surprising thing is that they aren't just beating teams that arrive at Wembley, they are thrashing them! Typical Scotland drawing 0-0 away to teams they should be beating. I fear it'll be at least another 4 years before another tournament arises. Wales - joke loss against Montenegro. But Northern Ireland got the result of the day in my opinion. 1-0 away to Slovenia. That'll set them along just nicely. Interesting to see how the other teams performed. Germany won 1-0 reverting back to that 'just enough to qualify' mode methinks. Spain beating Lichtenstein 4-0 - no surprise there. Portugal 4-4 Cyprus :o Italy just scraping past Estonia 2-1 away from home but what about the French?! 1-0 loss against BELARUS....AT HOME!! :o:o And England thought they had it bad the last couple of months?!!

September 4, 201015 yr Didn't England start off well in 2006/07? Yes but the matches were against Andorra and Macedonia! 5-0 and 1-0 I seem to remember. Then it started going tits up the next month when Paul Robinson was kicking balls nobody else could see.
September 5, 201015 yr And then drawing away in Macedonia Away? I'm pretty sure it was much worse than that! It was at home at Old Trafford! It was shocking! I recall in 2002 they drew 2-2 with Macedonia at home as well but this one was arguably worse because of the way it'd end.
