September 3, 201015 yr 2011 TICKETS ON SALE ON OCTOBER 3RD Hello again. We're pleased to confirm that tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2011 will go on sale at 9am on Sunday, October 3rd, costing £195 (+ £5 booking fee and P&P). You will be able to book your tickets by paying a £50 deposit per person, either online at http://www.seetickets.com/g2011 or on the booking line: 0844 412 4635. There will then be no further UK payments taken until the booking site re-opens on April 1st 2011, when you will have a week to pay your balance of £145 per ticket, and to book everything else you might need (tipis, campervan tickets, parking, insurance). To clarify - it will not be possible to pay for a ticket in full in October, when only deposits will be taken. This extension to our deposit scheme will allow people more time to save for their tickets, knowing that they have a secured booking. It will also help the Festival to reduce costs, allowing us to give more to our joint charities. Please note, the balance payment window for international buyers will be for one week from February 25th to March 3rd 2011. Anyone who decides not to pay their balance in 2011 will be refunded their deposit, minus a £10 administration fee. Those tickets will then be put forward to a re-sale, which is likely to be in April or May 2011. To buy a ticket for Glastonbury 2011 you will need to be registered. To register your details please click here http://www.glastonburyregistration.co.uk/ . Or, to check whether you're already registered for next year, click here http://www.seetickets.com/see/getglas.asp . And for full 2011 ticket information, please click here http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/tickets/2011-ticket-info ----------- So put your money down on the 3rd and only have a week in which to make the final payments in April time? The deposit system is a brilliant idea, but only having 1 week to pay your remaining balance and getting other bits is stupid.
September 3, 201015 yr that's sick , buying a ticket for a festival without knowing who'll come :wtf:
September 4, 201015 yr ^well theres always the resale! Would you know if a lot of tickets are available for the re-sale ?.. I'm dying to go this year, but I can't know for sure if I'm gonna be available at the end of June yet... You're so right, we only live once! And to me, Glastonbury is once in a lifetime experience! :smug:
September 4, 201015 yr If you do the deposit thing, and you decide not to go, you'll get 40 pounds back. So you'll only pay 10 pounds. I just hope it's after my finals, but I won't know till November. :nice:

September 4, 201015 yr I'm still registered from last year so will definitely be trying for tickets this year :D
September 4, 201015 yr Author that's sick , buying a ticket for a festival without knowing who'll come :wtf: That's the thing with Glastonbury, you buy tickets not knowing whom will be playing. Glastonbury is very much more than the music, which is why it will sell out in record time this year without a single band being confirmed as playing.
September 4, 201015 yr Author I'm still registered from last year so will definitely be trying for tickets this year :D Remember to double check to see if your still registered for 2011 Mich. I think my registration has run out :( Would you know if a lot of tickets are available for the re-sale ?.. And to me, Glastonbury is once in a lifetime experience! :smug: Who knows how many tickets will be in the resale, it depends how many cancellations they get (both from not-paying reminder of balance & cancelling the tickets due to various reasons).
September 4, 201015 yr That's the thing with Glastonbury, you buy tickets not knowing whom will be playing. Glastonbury is very much more than the music, which is why it will sell out in record time this year without a single band being confirmed as playing. It's not that unusual though. Generally at festivals like this there's so much to do/see/hear you don't necessarily need a great line up. But most of the time Glastonbury's line up is pretty drool-worthy. @Acquiesce: Do you know Lowlands? It'll be like Glasto this year in terms of tickets selling out with only a handful of bands confirmed. Anyhow. I've been dying to go for years and this year I'll finally have the money/means/time to go. But I'll probably go by myself because apparently my friends don't like festivals as much as I do. By the way, last year a Dutch band self confirmed in August, but I guess nobody in the UK noticed.
September 4, 201015 yr i think im going to do what i always do buy to tickets and find someome to go with
September 4, 201015 yr You need to set up an account for you and the person you're going with before you can buy tickets. If you plan to buy tickets for other people, they all need to be registered - and you will need their registration numbers to purchase tickets on their behalf. Ta-dam.
September 4, 201015 yr Yes, but you can only buy one ticket per registration number. So whoever you're going with needs to register as well before buying the tickets.
September 4, 201015 yr you serious 0.0 oh shit well looks like ill be buying one ticket after all thats really really....really annoying -____-
September 5, 201015 yr I wish I was rich as fuck so I could go. :disappointed: It would be a few thousand just for me to get there, get a hotel, and tickets.
September 5, 201015 yr Author ^I made one last year will that work? If you checked the box saying "keep my registration details for 3 years" than it should work :)
September 5, 201015 yr Remember to double check to see if your still registered for 2011 Mich. I did and I am :D Registered until 2012.
