I'm American and I don't even know the rules for American football. :| I like sports, I play softball, volleyball, used to play basketball, do marching band and also ski and swim non-competitively. I think the problem is that people don't follow the sport, not that there aren't any fans. Like, I love softball but that doesn't mean that I watch all the teams on tv.
