I Don't know what Obama has or hasn't done but I Think every politician makes promises that they aren't going to keep so that they can become prime minister / president , and if they do manage to follow through with them then well done to them.

That's a very poor mentality, just because generally politicians lie about their intentions, we shouldn't be like "OH what a surprise! How great you are!!!" if they actually go through with it. They are supposed to, they are expected to.

This thread was initially a parody of Evenstar's thread. I don't Hate-Hate Obama, but I do have strong political disagreements with him. Whether or not I actually meant the title of this thread was irrelevant to my point. All the same, I don't mind that a semi-interesting discussion came out of it.
