The Walking Dead used to be so cool. I stopped watching a few seasons ago because it got so boring. It seems that they are just killing off main characters to cause a bit of social media talk so more people will watch it!

Apart from that, this episode was lame, nothing really story wise happened :|

Nothing story wise happened...? We saw Rick become broken, and now his 3/4 of his top generals dead/hostage, and Maggie wants to fight, but do they risk getting Lucilled some more. That's a lot of plot imo. Having said that, it seems from the preview of 7x2 that its not gonna be that episode just yet.

Well, they're (mostly) going off comics. So its not like they said, let throw in a death because the show is getting stale. They're having deaths because thats what happened in the comics at this point. I could understand the boring/stale comments, but that wasn't a good argument in favour of it. But hey, what if a show is going 7 seasons deep, you're gonna have some staleness.

well, its a pretty cliché thing to do.

the funny thing for me was when Kirkman was talking about the scene with Rick and Carl and the hand chopping. Then he said they haven't discounted it for the future!

Negan took Rick, showed him who's boss. And then he drove back and tortured Rick some more. Then Negan left with his crew. Oh yeah and we know who died. But that kinda already happened in the previous episode so that's why I don't count that to this episode.

And that was it.

I have to say that this premiere might have finally pushed me to stop watching this show.

[spoiler=rant]It felt like a horror movie written by a teenager. Let's not reveal the big kill until 20 mins into the episode, and in the meantime, Negan will take Rick to a zombie horde and Rick will have flashes of characters that might have died?? Like what? It was clumsy, awkward, and just trying to build suspense that was already ruined by the finale last season...

Sure, the deaths were incredibly hard to watch, well acted, and intense, but they tried stuffing in like "oh my gosh is he gonna do it?" moments. Abraham is killed, its terrible but a safe bet. Rick is hanging above a horde, oh no. Wait is Darryl gonna get it? Oh wait, no, its Glenn too? Now Carl's arm? The whole episode felt like silly torture porn with no context or narrative arc. The best walking dead deaths shock you and sadden you. These deaths did neither. They just pissed me off. And believe me, Glenn was my fave character. If you are gonna fake kill him, why kill him two episodes later for real?

Shocked. But not too shocked. What will Negan do next...

Everyone's going on about how violent Glenn and Abraham's deaths were...I didn't think it was that bad. I didn't like it when Negan shoved the bat in Rosita's face. Nice one Daryl, but next time, try not to get my fourth favourite Glenn killed mate. Please, just avoid that.

yeah, along with Gabriel.

this episode wasn't received well among my group of TWD fans. I've always leaned towards liking their output (with maybe the exception of the Tara episode last season). As a comic book reader, this was a pretty cool episode to watch with the Rick sequences.

I find it strange, that much like with Coldplay(ing), we have fans who hang around and are negative about things. Im not trying to start something up again, but its just funny how it is like that in every fandom it seems...or is it? I'm not a part of the GoT fandom, but is it like that there? From afar, that seems to be the fandom that's all loving the output.
