November 29, 201015 yr I saw two paps when we were there. They were just in the corner. But they didn't stay for long, dunno if security told them to leave though, or maybe they had everything they needed..

Security was so worried about us to begin with, eyeing people if they touched their phones...and then there are paps with big honking cameras and they don't do anything? :P @Lore: it was in a public place, and I thought of that too, but it was kind of tilted so you couldn't really see what was going on unless you were standing in one or two spots, which I figure was intentional.

November 30, 201015 yr Thursday 25th November 2010 Chapter 1 ; Struggling through the snow. 08:00 AM woke up to find a shit load of snow outside my window o__O This worried me because we needed to drive to Darlington (where the worst of the snow was) and catch a train to Kings Cross London. After a busy morning rushing about packing our stuff and getting distracted by all the news of Christmas lights being released on Cold playing. We set off at 10:45 AM in the car, driving down the A1 we came to a blizzard and you could hardly see anything, on the radio a few minutes later there was news of a lorry which had crashed and that the road was closed; though luckily it wasn’t one we needed to travel on Pheewww ! After we got through the blizzard we were following this really slow car which was probably going no more than 10mph I kept saying to mum ‘Pass the car , we are going to miss the train’ after getting on my mum’s nerves for 10 minutes or so she finally decided to overtake the car. Which wasn’t actually a good idea because the other lane on the motorway hadn’t been gritted and we started skidding and some ice from the road froze onto our brakes. So every time we went round a corner after that we nearly crashed, coming up to the roundabout before the station was the worst I honestly thought we were going to crash and then I’d never make it on the boat. Amazingly we made it to the station car park, but with less than 10 minutes to buy tickets and go to the toilet we had to run! I was really panicky at this time we managed to buy a sandwich on the station then my Grandma rang up to say that the school didn’t know where I was, even though I said to her that I was off on Thursday. 12:03 the train arrived and we were just relieved that we made it on the train in one piece so I listened to Coldplay and some Bowie during the journey and the time passed really quickly.

November 30, 201015 yr Chapter 2 ; Viva la London 14:55 ; we arrive at London Kings and everything seems to strange from the last time I was there, 6 years ago. We rushed down to the tube station and bought 2 day passes then got onto the next tube to Elephant & Castle, we spent over an hour looking for the right bus stop which would take us to Old Kent road we finally found it and got on without paying, the bus driver didn’t bother so we just thought fine then. We rushed down the street and found our hotel which we discovered was actually nowhere near Tower bridge like the description told us ! So we checked in, and got changed in 15 minutes, rung for a taxi and set off for the Anchor Tap. However by this time it was after 4 ‘O clock and the taxi driver wasn’t really sure where it was, so he pulled up behind Butlers wharf and the guy said he didn’t want to leave us on our own so walked down the street while we were still sitting in the back of his taxi! He came back 5 minutes later and said he couldn’t see it, so he walked down to the river bank with us and asked us if we’d be alright and he set off back to his taxi, aaaw he was so worried about us it was sweet. Anyway because it was now 16:45 and people were queuing for the Erasmus we just joined them. I was so excited at this point and I looked around to try and recognise people from the forum but I didn’t know any of them at that point.
