When do you think LP5 will come out?

Featured Replies

Yeah but Japan is a small country. They'd need to charge a lot like they do here in south america. I just hope they come here because I can't afford 200+ dollar tickets if I have to pay for a flight too

Another reason they should go off-label...more control over gigs and the like :D

(OK, I know they probably never will, but they're the exact type of band that could pave the way for everyone else to be more in control of their own business dealings for the better of the fans).

And yeah, the US has crowd-control rules that make GA areas smaller in big arenas...they could never do a Wembley where the whole field/pitch/floor is standing in America, for better or for worse :blank:

"Magic Times" just makes me . I don't believe it for a second, but if it ended up being true, I would probably just hang up my dignity relating to Coldplay forever .

But Japan is just one country, Europe is so much bigger.

yeah, I know it was just an idea that came to my mind. I think they might go first to North America cause it's been a while since they toured there, and they will be playing all those festivals in Europe this year.

that makes some sense, but I hope not, because I haven't saved up enough money for my plain ticket :( I still have a couple of months, but plain tickets are so fricking expensive!

GA pits in arenas have varied from artist to artist for me. For instance, I saw Coldplay in an arena in Anaheim and only the very front section of the floor was GA. Two years later, I saw Muse in the exact same arena, and the entire floor was GA. Personally, I prefer the latter, not just because of the queue (It's fun! You meet lots of awesome people, which is especially useful for saving your spot when you run to the bathroom!), but also because of ticket availability. I still haven't experienced Coldplay GA thanks to such a limited amount available. Plus, being seated on the floor sucks. Nobody moves around because of the restrictive nature (Coldplay show at Home Depot Center, I'm looking at YOU.).

And I'd probably be more bitter about October if it weren't my birthday month. I'm also kinda thankful they (probably) aren't touring North America before then, because if they are to debut any new material, nobody will know it.

but if they tour America first, you'll have time to save up for when they tour Europe, I suppose in mid 2012 :uhoh:?

I know, but I'm going to the US anyway. I'm still €550 short for the plain ticket. I will find a way :D

no, I think they'll tour the us and europe around the same time, maybe in 2/3 months. Then they'll probably tour the US again :dozey: and take some time off. They'll tour Australia, Japan, etc after that and maybe go back to the US again

And then MAYBE they'll tour south america

An october release also means no latin american tour before/after rock in rio :( although it wouldn't make sense to travel that much just for 1 gig :|

I think they could break the mold a bit about where they tour when...who knows, Lore, they could start with a bang in Latin America! :P I know it's unlikely because of the money thing, but they're Coldplay, they earn big bucks wherever they go, which keeps EMI happy. And it's spring in Latin America then, right?

I think if they do an October release, the touring schedule could be a bit different from usual anyway--they might only do a few places in October/November and save the big things til January 2012 so they can do it all in a big sweep without having to break for Christmas.

oh, cool! :awesome: good Luck then! :D

Then generally do two or even three American legs so it would not surprise me that they tour US/Europe around the same time. They can always go back to America for more :P

They won't tour here after or before RIR, the only hope there might be is if there is another festival here...unfortunately the only one I can think of around that time is the Pepsi Music and I doubt they will come cause it's not even organised yet :blank:. So no, I don't see them coming here til at least 2013 :(

oh, cool! :awesome: good Luck then! :D

Thank you! :nice:

@Laga: Maquinaria festival Chile should be in october too

Don't believe that tracklisting. I can confirm the change of plans in Coldplay camp regarding the schedule of the release of LP5, originally before Summer. Hope people can wait until October.

Everybody who guessed October as the month of release deserves a prize. Just my two cents on it.

That could've been May!! :bomb:

Why would they want to change it :dead:

Oh well atleast October is better than next year!

I don't think you can make generalizations about America and queuing for shows.....I've been to at least a handful where "waiting in line" (as we call it) got me front row in the General Admission section......and we certainly weren't let in early at all.

Just saying this to make sure when it comes time for the tour all new Coldplayers will come hang out in line with me!

:nice: oh, I didn't know about that one...we still have a very, very small chance, then :laugh3:

LOL at the obviously fake tracklisting. WTF Magic Times? Sounds like a watch store or a camera shop than a Coldplay album. The only song titles on there that are plausible are the confirmed "Up With The Birds," "Hurts Like Heaven," and "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall." But I like the song titles "Look Up" and "Earthquakes" a lot, actually.

... u srs, interwebz? Magic Times?

I say in July, following the trend of the previous albums.

For a tour, I'm not sure if the could start so soon, remember the VLV tour officially ended last year... so, I would say after the festivals, they may wait some months and start touring in Europe as usual and the US, Japan/Australia and *lets hope* a SouthAmerican tour. That's just my guess anyway...

I would be happy with a single now... and I hope for something better than Christmas Lights, of course.

Kay.....October it is...

Let the countdown begin...only what...8 months away.?

I was grounded once for 3 months, so let me see....

only 2.6666...X longer.

I don't have a good feeling about this album. I hope I'm wrong.

u are wrong

I don't have a good feeling about this album. I hope I'm wrong.

why ?

We havent heard the first single.

We dont know which direction they are taking

They never set a release day and then pushed it back. It was all expeculation from the fans and the media.

We bearly know a few track names , that actually , dont know if they are going to be in the final tracklist

Well for me, this is the first time I've been involved in the build-up for a new Coldplay album so it's natural for me to be afraid that the album will be bad. But I'm sure that the album will be amazing and I'll have that mentality once they start working on LP6!

I mean , i Know its scary .. its my first time to , and you are kinda scared to see what they are going to do , and all that .. but , i dont have we have enough information to judge weather the album is going on a good direction or in a bad one
