When do you think LP5 will come out?

Featured Replies

Question: Umm. Someone said a person named locust submitted a tracklist for the new album. Does anyone have a link to where he said that? Thank you.

No I think locust7 said that the "leaked" tracklist (from somewhere else) was incorrect, he did not submit one himself.

yeah, I know what it means..but I don't get the connection with LP5? if there's any? :uhoh: or maybe I just didn't get it right :disappointed:

Maybe there is a connection, maybe not :sneaky:

Oh. Okay. Thank you anyway. Yeah, I mean they seem like kind of cool titles most of them but I really doubt that's what they are. Ah well. :S

COLDPLAY: NO NEW MATERIAL AT GLASTONBURY

COLDPLAY might be rocking festivals this summer but fans won’t get a sniff of new material until the autumn.

Coldplay are booked to headline 15 major events including Glastonbury and T In The Park, but it’s all come too soon to promote their long-awaited fifth album.

“There definitely won’t be anything new before Glastonbury and their summer dates,” my source flipping 33-year-old Chris Martin’s falafels told me.

Parlophone president Miles Leonard said the follow-up to Viva La Vida should appear “towards the autumn”.

Meanwhile Martin’s missus Gwyneth Paltrow, 38, is eyeing up music projects with rapper Jay-Z, 41, following her recent hook-ups with Cee Lo Green, 36.

She said: “He is a genius and I’m his biggest fan.”

i'm sure this isn't an entirely reliable source. :P

Yeah I thought that too but I mean if this is real, I'm really mad. I mean who wants to see Coldplay perform the same setlist from the Viva tour?! IT'S OVER! R#42 already said that so I don't know why they would do these festivals if they wanted to do that.

id love for that to be true, im not going to these festivals and i wanna hear the album first. but unfortunately that looks like a tabloid basing all their information off of practically nothing.

Yeah this magazine is the one who makes up stories about the president being an alien and stupid stuff like that. :P

... that looks like a tabloid basing all their information off of practically nothing.
Yeah, pretty much. It's like, "oh, I'm going to take a few facts, then I'm going to throw an assumption in there based on one of the aforementioned facts and pretend it is a fact too and bam I've got a story and I'm kewl and stuff."

There is not a snowballs chance in hell of Coldplay replicating their Viva setlist so it's not a point of discussion.

And for the LOVE OF GOD NEVER EVER use the Daily Star as some form of reliable source. It is perhaps the raggiest of the rag red tops we have in the UK. It is a truly truly awful "newspaper" which ditches the main problems in the country and the world today in favour of an exclusive front page headline on when Katie Price will next have her boob job. I am being serious, no joke! Do not read ANYTHING into that abysmal source. coldplayisawesome - you may as well delete it. Yes - the Daily Star are that bad! I wouldn't wipe my arse with that paper.

ya its all lies, cept that thing about the president.....

wtf are "source flipping... falafels"

"flipping falafels" sounds like some sort of awful (and potentially dirty) expression, doesn't it? XD

and if i do say so myself, i'll bet chris is quite capable of flipping his falafel himself like the rest of us! or at least having his wife do it for him.

ya that just became a thing, we need to make that slang catch on...

I don't trust the tabloid or the falafel source for a second...but I do think they're probably right. I really don't see them playing new material this summer except maybe one or two new songs at best. I could be entirely wrong, but I think that's a kind of logical, realistic assumption based on where they are in the process and what other powers that be will have to say about them previewing new material on the road.

i think they should play the best songs theyll never release, that would be cool! like famous old painters, ummm, etc.....

I will laugh if we hear Famous Old Painters and it sucks.

oh yeah, i'm sure he's more than capable :wink3:

"otherwise i'd have just stayed at home and flipped my falafel. it would have been a waste of another day..."
