Clearly you only read some posts (which is normal, no one spends that much time here). But you can't say I criticize everything when I don't. When you do that you just end looking like a big blind fanboy.

Once again, I am not against this situation, since it is totally understandable and highly positive. I also don't like the fact that they used the "Ritmo de la Noche" sample for ETIAW.

 

However, it is very easy to criticize and when you start suggesting that they are also copying Muse regarding lyrics, it starts to sound like you're set to criticize almost everything they do.

 

Never intended to offend or disrespect you, but the boys are the same and there's no such thing as "NEW Coldplay", even though they released a song you didn't like.

It's just funny how sensitive some fans are. I wish all the overly sensitive fans would go back to the Coldplay section and leave this thread to the people who are slightly more rational :( :( :(

I can't speak for the claim that MTM has Muse-like lyrics ('cause I don't listen to Muse, save for a few songs), but I really liked the lyrics...and the direction of the melody... Hell, I even like Chris's low, gravelly voice (which is even a bit out of tune, but fits the song).

It seems you are the one taking things personally, as you are claiming that people are insulting you when they are merely pointing out the discrepancies in what you have said and why the points you are making are invalid. I don't see how proving with textual evidence that your thoughts about Lore are misguided can be interpreted as a direct insult towards you.

 

Anyway, as I mentioned, I read that entired thread. Lore only said it "looks like Muse lyrics." I don't see how you can take that and say she said that Coldplay copied Muse. She never used the word "copy" once in that entire thread. I actually agree with her; they do look like lyrics Muse would write. Do I view that as a bad thing? Not necessarily.

 

I disagree. As there are different styles for different eras, and as the boys are clearly taking a different direction for LP5, I think calling the LP5 era stuff "new Coldplay" is perfectly acceptable.
