June 3, 201115 yr Where does it say that...? Now that you mention it, it is awfully U2 inspired at times...
June 3, 201115 yr Pretty sure it's not actually The Edge. Sounds similar at times though, I'll admit.
June 3, 201115 yr Yep, my first thought was overproduced Eno once again.. but I must admit it's growing on me, same as Get On Your Boots did when it was released.
June 3, 201115 yr  I love this song a lot but the guitar being like The Edge is immediately what I thought of.
June 3, 201115 yr The guitar parts sound like they could have been performed by a set of Scottish bagpipes. But I do like it. I didn't instantly think of The Edge when I heard it. I think in sound it's still very typical Jonny Buckland which is always nice to hear in my opinion. Similar guitarists but The Edge is always the God for me.
June 3, 201115 yr Yep, my first thought was overproduced Eno once again.. but I must admit it's growing on me, same as Get On Your Boots did when it was released. My thoughts exactly! I was a little disappointed upon first listening, but it's really grown on me over the last two hours. :P It probably helps that I can't get it out of my head!!
June 3, 201115 yr THAT THE EDGE FROM U2 WAS PLAYING IN THE SONG TOO?????????!?!? MY 2 FAV BANDS EVER COMBINED BEST SONG EVER Absdsgklsdhg;asdf;oahlet The first things that came into my mind. But Jonny > Edge:P
June 3, 201115 yr The guitar part is distinctly Jonny. It has those quick notes that he's freaking brilliant at (i.e. Brothers and Sisters, Strawberry Swing). Edge's style is slightly different. I can't fully explain it, but they are distinct from each other.
June 3, 201115 yr  I love this song a lot but the guitar being like The Edge is immediately what I thought of. I HAD NO IDEA!
