The Tracklisting

^There are too many combos here. I wouldn't like an album such as that.

I did 3 besides MX, since it appears to only be 30-40 seconds, otherwise, same number as Viva

Yes/Chinese Sleep Chant

Lovers in Japan/Reign of Love

Death and All His Friends/The Escapist

And really The Escapist is also tied in with Life in Technicolor so you could say Viva had 4. Personally, I'd have them all separated out but the Band seems to like doing this for some stupid reason. On my computer I even separated Viva out into all it's component pieces and resisted the track and burnt the album that way.

Just think of it this way:

1. MX

2. Hurts Like Heaven

3. Up in Flames

4. Major Minus

5. Alien Radio

6. UFO

7. Tomorrow

8. Charlie Brown

9. Us Against the World

10. Paradise

11. Princess of China

12. Mylo Xyloto

13. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall

14. A Hopeful Transmission

Yeah that's true we did and we don't even know for sure if this MX Tour is legit. It seems to be right now MX will be a recurring theme through OUT LP5, what with, Mylo Xyloto, Muganetic Xlyobrobites (or whatever) and MX being everywhere. And i think "Twisted Logic" of course being a song name, was also the perfect way to describe X&Y.

Yeah true. But I'm sure it will all become clearer when we know what MX stands for or at least what it means. Then we should be able to understand it all!

I wasn't aware Viva had just as many. I hate to see one, but they'll probably have more than that on the new album.

Definitely the most realistic so far!!

Out of the songs we've heard, I'd include...

Charlie Brown

Princess of China

Us Against The World

Major Minus

Moving To Mars (if only one, then this one)

and I am not so sure about Hurts Like Heaven...it's a nice song but... meh...

and definitely kick the shit out of ETIAW... still can't stand it...

Probably a silly question, but are there versions of the following songs available anyway:

Alien Radio

U.F.O.

Tomorrow

Paradise

A Hopeful Transmission

Or do these songs only exist in name alone?

Sorry if this shouldn't be posted in this thread

They exist in my head.

Nope, these songs exist only on paper as far as we know :nice:

And welcome to the forums!

They're in the copyright database so they MUST exist!!!

...and I guess Feist is going to be releasing a song called Falling Falang Failing. Yeah okay.

After all impressions so far i would be very (!!!) surprised if

Hurts like Heaven

Major Minus

Charlie Brown

Princess of China

wont be on the album. Especially those four tracks to me are safe on LP5,just my intention !

Well I know its mad but if you think about the graffiti/alien space theme 'Princess Of China' doesn't fit. But then strawberry swing didnt fit the viva revolution theme so what do i know.

If you listen to VLVODAAHF in a religious context it absolutely does. I wrote a 16 page paper about the album in a Religion class, the album is dominated w/ religious undertones.

Title: Mylo Xyloto

1. Mylo Xyloto

2. UFO

3. Hurts Like Heaven

6. Princess of China

8. A Hopeful Transmission

10. Tomorrow

11. Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall

I would love to see Spanish Rain again, but I think some of the magic would be stripped from it, it's one of those songs that just works so perfectly live.

i stand corrected!!!!!

where are the religious references then??

i stand corrected!!!!!

where are the religious references then??

Nearly every song has a reference at some point or another, I believe . . .

Cemeteries Of London --> 'God is in the houses and God is in my head'

42 --> 'You didn't get to Heaven but you made it close'

Yes --> 'Lord lead me not into temptation'

Viva la Vida --> most of the song, especially the chorus

Violet Hill --> 'Priests clutched onto Bibles hollowed out to fit their rifles and the cross was held aloft' and 'The fox became God'

Even Lovers In Japan and Lost! at a stretch

omg :veryangry2:

"Up With the birds" IS "Us Against the world"

"Spanish Rain & Wedding Bells" ARE NOT GOING TO BE ON LP5

And ETIAW is a SHIT Track and a SHIT ending Track...damn!

I'm just interested, why do you keep correcting people about Up With the Birds? There's absolutely no proof to corroborate your statement. And the user you quoted said he'd LIKE the album to turn out that way, there was no implication that he believes Spanish Rain/Wedding bells will be on the album. You seem to have overlooked that.

Up With The Birds is definitely not Us Against The World. You have zero proof for it and they're registered as seperate songs on the PRS database. We know that Up With The Birds features Leonard Cohen in some way and obviously Us Against The World doesn't. You're absolutely wrong I'm afraid.

On a side note, we now have our 3 songs beginning with U: Up With The Birds, Us Against The World and Up In Flames.
