You're not stupid, you probably just can't see it because it's so small. If you can enlarge the explanation of how to pronounce the title, you'll see what looks like a tent (or more appropriately, a roof), and under that is "under" followed by a big "1" and then "roof".

 

I agree with the others - if history repeats itself and if Coldplay is still the same group of guys, then "under 1 roof" is most likely a charitable organization they're trying to help out.

^"Under 1 Roof" also appears on Chris's piano--I'd wager that it has to do with the music as opposed to a charitable organization. Because Chris put it on the album announcement, it definitely seems like it has more significance than it just being another bit of lyrics or a song title, but at the same time...I don't know if I think it has anything to do with the name Mylo Xyloto. I think we're really going to have to wait and see on that one...I don't know if it's something that can be found out by research.

My guess is that each letter means something, and that MYLO is a group of "things" or persons, and XYLOTO is the same.

Very true :P. I admit that I'm pretty tired of all the speculation about things we can't possibly know about or answer ourselves (tracklisting, meaning of MX, etc), but...what else is there to do in the meantime, I guess? I just prefer to hijack threads and discuss their business/promo decisions because I feel more comfortable with those things vs. creative process things :lol:.

They have made their own studio language and Mylo Xyloto means Jonny Boy. :nod: Now you have reasons why it's Under 1 Roof (their studio) and why Chris said Mylo Xyloto at the beggining of Jonny's Fix You solo at one festival. :nod: And Fix You cover art says XY so that's why XY is in the middle of MYL OXYL OTO. :nod: And Up In Flames is the leading song and is described as the new Fix You.
