I AM VERY VERY RELUCTANTLY SELLING MY SPECIAL COPY OF THIS CD. I RECEIVED THIS COPY FROM MY COUSIN JONNY WHO IS THE GUITARIST IN THE BAND. HE GAVE IT TO ME WHEN IT WAS FIRST PRODUCED. IF I DIDNT HAVE TO SELL IT I WOULDNT. CHRISTMAS IS COMING. INSIDE THE SLEEVE OF THE CD IS A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM HIM AND IS ALSO SIGNED BY WILL WHO IS THE DRUMMER OF THE BAND, CHECK OUT THE PICS.

 

I feel a little bad right now, and this time it's not mainly because I can't afford to buy the Safety EP, but because this Becky is in such a bad positition that she sees it necessary to sell this piece of personal value. :\

 

The only thing I wonder is, can we trust that this seller is Becky? The user name is philuk123, so you'd think it was a guy named Phil, but it might be a shared account of course.

I really want the Safety EP for my collection. I wish I could afford it. The most I've ever spent was $100-ish for the What If single.

Seems a bit odd that Jonny's cousin would spend so much of his time previously selling Spurs memrobilia as well. :laugh3:

Um - I have the signed "In My Place" lithograph that I won through the End of the Year Clearance Sale almost two years ago (see my avatar) and neither signature looks like those on the lithograph. Caveat emptor.

I have my doubts about it too, not about the authenticity of the signature (remember, this was probably one of the first signatures they gave, so it might not be a perfect copy like the one they have now), but about the information given. She says Jonny is his cousin, but she still needs wikipedia notes to explain what this release is?

I also think that their signatures might have changed with time as these are some of the first.

doritji, you have a point about the Wikipedia facts. Although, maybe she just couldn't remember the specifics?

 

About the note, I could see myself writing a similar thing if I was in Jonny's position, especially if my cousin insistently asked for it. :P

I have a couple signed things from Coldplay and Jonny's signature usually varies. The only thing that it always the same with his is the looping of the J.

Also, it is his handwriting and all... Kind of weird of his cousin to do this though.

I don't know Jonnys handwriting very well, but I thought the drawing in black was weird, since the writing was in blue??
