In the car, on the way home. Cell phone reception was really bad so if there is a shortage of tweets, that's why. Setlist was the same, venue is enormous, there were fireworks. Short ramp that Chris didn't use as much as San Jose. C-stage was in Sec J-1. Crowd was mixed. I think it was hard for the crowd to be loud because the venue slopes up gradually and there is no way to contain the sound. Chris had a problem with his earpiece or feed at the end of Yellow. And many if the xylobands didn't work. But it is still a visually stunning show. The last several shows I've been to, I've been in the first row, except for San jose and I was in Row 4. It was cool to see all the effects, lasers, and to watch the show from a different perspective. I took a lot of pictures but I need to go through. Overall though, the awsome show we have come to expect from our boys.

Question about the confetti!!!

How far back to the confetti cannons shoot the confetti?! I hope it makes it a ways back!!!

Nope. We were in the terrace boxes in the middle of the stage and no confetti. The garden boxes got a lot, though.

the show was amazing! i was totally surprised when they played Lovers in Japan! the confetti was amazing as well. i didn't expect for any of it to be around me but we were seated just below one of the canons! didn't expect the fireworks either! those just made the whole show even better. overall a good show. exactly what i expect from the boys. only complaint is that i wish they played longer, at least 2 hours.

the show was so amazing...i loved the energy! Chris was so great! His voice sounded so much better than past american tours. And they played warning sign which was awesome!! the intro to yellow was so beautiful I cried. I am going again on Friday...I just can't get enough of them!!!

Any ColdPlayers going on Friday?

I was in the garden seats and sitting near me was Jodi Foster and right in front of me was some british celebrity but I could not figure out who it was!! the entire night I was freaking out cause I was sure it was Andrew Lloyd Webber, but then later I googled him and it wasn't him although they look similar. If someone somehow knows who this was, please tell me because it's been bothering me. And no..i didn't take a picture of him

Heavily pregnant Molly Sims does rock chic as she leads a pack of Hollywood A-list stars to watch Coldplay

As one of the world's biggest bands Coldplay already have some pretty famous fans, such as Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

But last night, a whole new legion of superstars attended their concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

Leading the way was heavily pregnant Molly Sims who despite impending motherhood wasn't letting anything slow her down.

The former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model looked ready to rock and roll as she arrived at the venue to see the British band.

The 38-year-old kept her fashion simple in a long plain black maxi dress that clung to her belly and showed off her growing baby bump.

She teamed the laid back ensemble with a army green jacket and a pair of flat pumps, but still needed a helping hand to walk into the venue.

The yummy-mummy-to-be had her blonde hair down over shoulders and carried a red scarf in her hand while wearing her VIP pass around her neck.

Ironman and Avengers Assemble star Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan are also big fans of the band and they arrived in eye catching outfits.

Robert, 47, opted for an attention grabbing pair of white trousers which he teamed with a white jumper and a blue jacket.

Susan, 38, also chose to wear a white top with a matching blazer, but decided to wear black trousers with boots.

Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr also joined the pack arriving in a white cardigan, and Oscars host Billy Crystal followed in behind him.

From the world of music was singer Mandy Moore who kept a low profile in blue jeans and a thick black jacket. Comic actor James Belushi also tried to avoid drawing attention to himself in a leather jacket and jeans.

Twilight actor Ashley Greene was ready to let her hair down after having been busy re-shooting scenes for Breaking Dawn Part 2.

The 25-year-old was with a group of girl friends and appeared to have just normal admission tickets and not a VIP pass.

Coldplay - Hollywood Bowl - 5/1/12

ColdplayTN027_opt-thumb-480x319.jpg

Chilly Tuesday nights in May isn't exactly what the Hollywood Bowl is all about. But despite the less-than-ideal conditions, Coldplay warmed up the sold out crowd last night with songs off their latest album, Mylo Xyloto, and an assortment of hits.

Since the band's 2000 breakthrough with "Yellow," they've become one of the preeminent voices in modern rock, if also one of the most hated. Singer Chris Martin is almost as well known for his marriage to actress Gwyneth Paltrow and friendship with Jay-Z as for his songs.

But Martin is still concerned with writing songs that appeal to as many people as possible. If Wayne's World were made today, Wayne Campbell's quote, "Led Zeppelin didn't write tunes everybody liked. They left that to the Bee Gees," would likely substitute Coldplay for the latter. But they probably wouldn't care.

Over the course of the night, the band was fully engaged with the audience and on their game. It's bold to shoot off fireworks at the end of a show, but during the first song? With that, the band set the benchmark for their U2-esque theatrics pretty high and did not disappoint. From the elaborate light show to confetti to the glowing wristbands that were handed out upon entry, the band had the crowd's attention.

"Thanks for coming out on a Tuesday night," Martin said. "We know how hard it was to get and park here and we're gonna give it our all and hopefully you'll do the same."

Indeed, those in attendance dug the 20-song, 95-minute set. Songs like "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face," "Viva La Vida," and "The Scientist" received huge cheers, while the new songs held their own as well.

One of the telling moments of the night came during the encore when Martin, solo, popped up on an impromptu stage in the middle of the crowd. As he introduced "Us Against The World," he told the audience that though it may not appear to be the case, the band was made up of four equal partners; the singer implored folks to cheers each of them equally loudly, and they obliged.

Coldplay gets a lot of shit from many due to their soft, bland, overly commercial pop songs -- think Seth Rogen's snarky quote in The 40 Year Old Virgin -- but that hasn't stopped them from having massive success. They can release anything from EDM influenced tracks to those featuring Rihanna, but the band continues to sell out arenas and stadiums across the world. Like it or not, the British quartet judges themselves on how they're able to please their audience, rather than crusty music critics.

Critical Bias: Not the world's biggest Coldplay fan, but they know how to put on a hell of an entertaining show.

Random Notebook Dump: I don't care what band you are; charging $40 for a t-shirt isn't cool.
