An insider at the hotel said the booking was a “last minute thing” but that Chris had asked for their rooms to be filled with 31-year-old actress Gwyneth’s favourite flowers. A pal of Chris, 26 — lead singer of British group Coldplay — said last night: “They kept it very quiet indeed. They wanted to do it without fuss and without anyone around, and they managed it.” The couple took their vows at the Santa Barbara register office on Friday — minutes after getting their marriage licence. The couple have gone to great lengths to protect their privacy and denied being engaged — despite wearing matching rings.
