The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You

ines, I missed your post when I multi quoted, but that sounds absolutely awful. :|

It takes place pretty much right before World War II. Two lovers, Cecilia and Robbie, get separated because Cecilia's little sister accuses Robbie of a crime. Because of the accusation, he ends up getting sent off to war, when in fact, he's actually innocent.

You might have heard of the movie, which is based on the book. Keira Knightley and James McAvoy is in it.

James McAvoy. :wacky:

I read the book before seeing the film. I think I would have actually cried if I didn't know what was going to happen when watching the movie. :(

That sounds really good, but sad. :\

INORITE?! I studied it for four years and only did Macbeth, Othello, Hamlet and Much Ado About Nothing. There are so many more. I wish there could have just been like, a Shakespeare A-Level or something.

RSC is only like the best thing to hit the theatre ever. It's the Royal Shakespeare Company-- a selection of the finest theatre newcomers and experts to create a company that stick together and perform the classics (as well as sometimes dabbling in more contemporary stuff). They have three theatres in Stratford-upon-Avon and go on tour to London every couple of winters.

I've seen A Midsummer's Night Dream, Hamlet (David Tennant version), Taming of the Shrew, As You Like It and Love's Labour's Lost with them over the past 3 years... As well as seeing their contemporary The Drunks (a Russian play) and their theatre adaption of Morte D'Arthur.

Oh, I've heard of that!

That sounds like it would be so much fun to see live.

  • I've been a Muse fan for a couple of years now. I liked a couple of their hits but then a friend invited me to come with him to a Muse concert with him in 2013. The live experience was amazing and I h

^Tis lovely.

I, in part, passed my driving test so I can drive up to Stratford on whim and not have to blag my Mum for a lift.

I'm glad I didn't return mine. Ed was lovely in it. He was also really good in A Midsummer's Night Dream and when I bumped in to him on the street after as well. It's weird to think he's now unemployed.

Awesome, did you get a picture with him?

Yeah, it's crazy, to think. :|

Oh, I'm jealous. :bomb:

^^No I didn't. :bigcry: I didn't have a camera on me. I probably wouldn't have known how to do it either... I got utterly dorky and couldn't do anything but squee/garble at him. He was probably terrified of me if I'm honest.

^ Is there no Shakespeare companies around your way then?
