correct me if i'm wrong but has it almost been a year since Muse did a full proper concert. was the last at the V fest or in dubai or something july-ish last year? i cant wait to see how some of the new songs sound live, cos thats how i judge their music. i really hope they do alot of tv appareances and promo shows around the release of the album cos according to their website their first shows are with U2 in the states!! thats like a Texan country band playing their first shows in Tehran.

I find it funny that we are on a Coldplay forum criticizing other bands for cheesy lyrics. lol. As much as I enjoy coldplay, I think Chris has the cheesiest, over-simple and sometimes downright nonsensical lyrics. In saying that, I like the straight-forwardness of the lyrics, and the only part of the song I find cheesy is the UNITED STAAAAAAATES part. Apart from that, I think it is a brilliant blend of influences. And they have come out in this week's NME saying that the musical side of this album isn't entirely serious, and that they even laugh at United States of Eurasia. lol

back to the real world...if i wanted to i could most probably flick back to 2006 on this thread but i'm curious to know what the reaction was like to the first single from BHAR, Supermassive Black Hole. that was very different sounding to their previous work.

 

and one more issue (i feel ashamed to follow howyousawtheworld's post with this rubbish) do people prefer the more guitar driven muse tracks or the ones where its more piano-based. if people want i wouldn't mind making a separate thread on that question. there are enough bullshit threads in this section, one more wouldnt hurt.
