I heard the new song "United States of Eurasia". Umm, wannabe Queen anyone?

muse have had Queen comparisons made about them for years and years now. i dont quite get why fans are jumping up and down about it now. i heard the song on the radio this morning, the announcers were completely oblivious to the whole treasure hunt thing which was dissapointing but oh well. yet to hear the collateral damage bit.

I don't think any of their other stuff sounds like Queen. Just this new song. Listen to the harmonies in the louder parts and then listen to "Bicycle Race" or "Bohemian Rhapsody" and tell me it's not almost exactly the same sound.

U.S.E sounds like Queen, I like Queen but this song is not good!!!

United States Of Eurasia (with Collateral Damage included) is laughably bad. 1.16-1.23 makes me cringe so much! Though I'm not disappointed, just bemused. I'm still looking forward to The Resistance a whole lot, despite this song.

I have to say, the whole treasure hunt thing really was great. it's the most creative thing i've seen in music for a while, very fun stuff. BUT I don't like the song, at all. i enjoy Matt + piano, but the rest of this song.. really does not do it for me. HOWEVER, the best part, and it is excellent if you pay attention: Dom Howard's drumming. he is actually a drumming GOD. (and cute as hell.)

I mean come on, it's not THAT much like Queen! :rolleyes: I also don't get why some people are being so critical of Matt's vocals in this song, i think he sounds awesome and tbh, there isn't anything about the way he's singing that's so dramatically different than usual really :confused:
