September 9, 200916 yr I'm guessing I won't get my copy until mid next week sometime by the time it's delivered, but it'll hopefully be well worth the wait. Til then I'll satisfy myself with the album streaming on Triple J.
September 9, 200916 yr ... which won't be available til 10am. Which means I have to wait til AFTER work to listen :bomb:
September 9, 200916 yr i don't think any album has received this much attention and anticipation since radiohead's in rainbows came out in 2007. at least from an alternative rock point of view.
September 9, 200916 yr I'm waiting for the official release, but I'm curious... what's the verdict??? Seems like lots of people love individual tracks, but how's the album as a whole?
September 9, 200916 yr I've only listened to the terrible quality version once my consensus is that...it's a pretty brave album in general but it sounds like it could pay off and I look forward to hearing a decent rip.
September 9, 200916 yr the whole album is good. if you think of it as one song, then it's smashing i think it is good and it flows well
September 9, 200916 yr ^Thanks, guys! I'm looking forward to it! I'm going to have to get to know it really well, since I'll be seeing them support U2 next month!
September 9, 200916 yr Can't stop listening to that album! There're some tracks that hasn't clicked yet, but overall the album is fucking genius! Highlights for me: - MK Ultra (very very Muse-y...love it!) - I Belong To You (yes, the middle part is a bit wierd & boring at first, but then it grew on me on the 2nd listen, the end is so so good though!) - Exogenesis, & I think this is the highlight for everyone, Matt is a fucking genius! Go buy it!
September 9, 200916 yr i kinda hoped for more songs like Unnatural Selection. but otherwise its ok so far.
September 10, 200916 yr From what people are saying it sounds like a great album but i'm waiting til i receive my own copy. I preordered it off of Amazon so should get it Monday anyway (hopefully).
September 10, 200916 yr Waaah, one day left. I'm going to scream when that album is finally in my hands. :awesome:

Their most consistent album so far. As far as style goes, It is a new direction again for Muse, Probably a cross between Absolution and Origin of Symmetry with it's classical influences and depth. It needs to be listened to in full to be appreciated. The tracks on their own don't stand out as exceptional, and need to be listened to in the context of the album but as a whole, it is an amazing album. Theme: The idea that love gives us hope and pulls us through times of hardship. Matt's vocals are the best they've ever been. Exogenesis is like nothing a rock band has ever done. Amazing, moving. I highly recommend it as one of the albums of the year so far.
September 10, 200916 yr New merch in the shop, featuring 'The Resistance', the Teignmouth gigs and Project Eurasia. Listening to the full album stream on Triple J, absolutely amazing stuff! :D Totally agree with the above comment! :awesome:
September 10, 200916 yr i'm going to judge this album. like with all their previous albums, on how it words live. i'm very very curious to see what they do. when's the first proper full concert?
September 10, 200916 yr Alright. I love Muse, I really do but If I'm honest, after 3 listens, I am a bit dissapointed with the album overall. My favourite song is the amazing Undisclosed Desires, quckly followed by United States of Eurasia. (I've always liked Uprising) I like I Belong to you, Guiding Light is alright, so is Unnatural Selection and Exogenesis is no way near as big and epic as it was made out to be. MK Ultra is a dissapointment. Overall, it's good but not as good as I thought, maybe I will need a few more listens but I have the feeling that Matt Bellamy's gone a bit 'up himself' with himself! Don't get me wrong, i really like Matt, he's one of my fave musicians but I think the albums not as good as he thinks!

I thought it was going to be a dud, though, when I heard the 30-second sample, so I was happy that it wasn't. I think I KINDA get what you mean by "Exogenesis." I was expecting something a bit stronger, but I still think it's lovely. I actually rather like "MK Ultra," but I will concede that it's one of the weaker tracks of the album.
September 10, 200916 yr Oh sorry, it's been out for a good few hours now, want me to link? http://rapidshare.com/files/277627576/M-TR.rar
