  • I've been a Muse fan for a couple of years now. I liked a couple of their hits but then a friend invited me to come with him to a Muse concert with him in 2013. The live experience was amazing and I h

Heeeey guise, I'm back. :wacky:

I went to Old Trafford Cricket Ground, the tour guides mentioned Muse playing there last year and said how they got to watch them jam and stuff. I was like ":cheesy:"

Welcome back, Kelly!

:surprised: That's pretty cool!

You went to Manchester, right?

Yep

^^ Aww, that's dead awesome

I know right :awesome:

I wanna go to Manchester. Elbow and Hurts came from there!

Hai! :3

That's so awesome, Kelly! :awesome:

I listened to the radio all the way down and all the way up, and I only heard 3 Muse songs and one Muse mention. (Uprising, Starlight, and MK Ultra :charming:)

The Muse mention was, "It's obvious this crappy economy isn't hurting Matthew Bellamy of Muse, who just proposed to girlfriend Kate Hudson with a 14 karat (something like that, couldn't remember the exact cut) diamond ring. Best wishes, Matt"

 Nice! And welcome back, Christina. :nice:

I wonder when the wedding will be.

Thanks!

I imagine it'll be low-key, if Kate didn't even announce she was engaged. :P

I'm from there too! :P

Are you really? I thought you were from a small town that no one had ever heard of. :surprised: This is awesome, though. I AM JEALOUS OF YOU. :wacky:

Sorry. I'm a tad hyper this morning.

I am listening to OoS

it is gr8

YAH, CRESTS. :awesome:

O hi Muse thread. Haven't posted in you in two whole weeks.

Yeah, I'd probably end up getting killed at that show. Extremely unsafe location + bloodthirsty Rage fans + unpredictable crowd for rappers + being forced to sit through Rise Against. But Muse is playing, meaning if I die, I want "DEATH BY BASS" engraved somewhere.

Yeah, my whole family lives in Manchester and I was born there but my parents moved away when I was young. So now I live in the small town no one has heard of in the east of England. :disappointed:

^^ Does this mean you have a Mancunian accent?

:uhoh: That will be an . . . interesting gig. Are you going? If you are, be careful!

So I just woke up from a Muse dream (ahahahaha . . . ). The boys were playing a festival in Poland. They played Muscle Museum, and we Musers were watching a livestream and freaking out over it. For some reason, Dom was hanging around at the front of the stage with Matt and Chris, banging on random drums.

/cool story

No. :disappointed:

Actually, I don't even know what accent I have. I guess it's just a normal English one.

Haha, nice!

It's still better than having a Texan one. :disappointed:

Where in Texas are you from? I live in the DFW area and my accent isn't that bad. It's not stereotypically "Texan". I'm sure yours isn't that bad.

See, you live in a relatively big area. I live in a town of a little less than 30,000 people in East Texas, approximately 3 hours away from you.

Oh ok. Well, you may have a thicker accent than me since you live in a small town, but don't be ashamed of it. I'm sure there are people out there that think that they have an equally bad accent that to you may sound interesting. The same goes for you. Someone might find your accent really interesting even though you think it's bad. :)

Well, I've been told by other people that it's really not there-which, given how much effort I put into pronouncing words properly, I should hope not. It tends to come out prominently only when I'm in a situation when I'm too concerned with something else to consciously think about how I speak. I actually had a friend of mine tell me I sound like "a Northern hick"...whatever that means. :wtf: At any rate, I don't sound NEARLY as bad as my parents do. -shakes head-

I said earlier it probably wasn't that bad. It doesn't seem like it is, especially because you put concious effort into the way you sound. As you said at least it's not as bad as your parent's. My Mom had the worst Arkansan accent when I was little. But she somehow changed it after moving to DFW. I actually sound a lot like she does now. :inquisitive: Idk if that's a good or bad thing. I don't really think a lot about how I sound unless I'm talking to my friends from Minnesota.
