I don't think Xylobands used to be able to be controlled like that, from this video it looks like they can now be controlled by what area they're in.

 

Might be an old video but didn't Jason say there would be a new "twist" for the Xylobands?

maybe, but with the album not even being announced yet, concerts would be a far way off. I love the Xylobands and I really hope they keep them for their next concert, they are amazing. Still though this wouldnt hint at lp6 at all.

I think they could. If I remember correctly they were numbered between 1-3 (or 6) and the numbers could be controlled separately. When we activated them they were all thrown into one big pile but you could also give a certain section one specific number.

It seemed very unlikely at the time, especially since he didn't tweeted about it when it had just happened. I still think it's weird to discuss the album title on a plane full of people months before it is officially announced.
