When Chris moved into his new dorm at Ramsey Hall, he felt very lonely at first and tried to keep himself busy by strumming his acoustic guitar along to Radiohead and Travis songs.

Which was quite new to him since his band usually only played U2, and he lead quite a lonely life for the first few months

One winter evening, he just returned home from an afternoon lecture, wrapped in a coat since it was cold outside, and was walking up the stairs to his room when he heard a faint guitar sound coming from the hallway above him.

So he decided to go check out where this amazing guitar sound was coming from. He found the room and walked inside.

"Oh, oh" he stammered, "I didn't know anyone was here, I'm terribly sorry."

While the shy boy quickly put his guitar aside, as if he felt ashamed for having been overheard playing it, Chris took a step towards him and said "That was great ! You know, I play the guitar too !"

after that they thought together that let`s meet our friends there in the home town of Chris for old times sake to make

But at first they would have to stay in London, for it was in the middle of term. Chris stammered awkwardly "So, I'm, uhm, Chris. I play guitar and I play, uhm, the singing. Let's do a guitar jam session together - what's your name, by the way ?"

(Good save)

"I'm Jonathan, some people me Jonny though. Jonny Buckland. I've been playing for about 7 years now, and I'd love to do a jam session!"

Chris smiled shyly like he usually did and stammered some awkward nonsense like he usually did, but he realized that Jonny might just be as awkward (if not more) than him

Next they knew, the two boys were sitting on the stairway and doing a cheerful guitar jam session, with the chords ringing out int the hallway and leading dozens of students to peek out of their rooms to see what was going on.

Jonny was quite nervous about singing, but Chris belted random words out as he basked in the pure awesomeness that was the jam session.

"Hey, you're pretty good!" said Chris. "How about starting a band with me?"

Jonny agreed and while they were talking about possible names for their new-found duo, two medical students ran down the stairway talking loudly about their anatomy class, with one of them yelling proudly "Guess what, today I dissected the minor pectoral muscle !"

"Hey!" said Chris, "we should call ourselves Pectorals!"

Jonny looked at him with a strange face. "No, Chris, that's too weird of a name, I'm never going to be in a band called Pectorals."

"You're right," said Chris, "we should really call ourselves Pectoralz....the name is so much cooler that way!"

So Pectoralz it was! Jonny and Chris next set work on writing the best debut album of all time yet something was missing. Distraught, the duo took the next rational step and went down to the pub for a pint. They bumped into two acquaintances of theirs by the pool table, Will and Guy.

Chris and Jonny knew that these guys were good musicians and wanted them to be in their band. But there was just one problem. Pectoralz needed a bass player and a drummer. Guy knew how to play the bass, but Will only knew the guitar. So, in the nicest way possible, Chris asked Guy but not Will to join the band.

Guy could not put up with the stupid name as he was too cool for that. So, they needed a new one.

With Guy committed to the group the trio started to get a lot more female attention (as Guy was so suave, handsome and rugged) Guy's Scottish twang wooed women all over campus. Chris gleefully thought "I may finally lose my virginity!" But it was not to be, for a failed night entertaining a girl called Alice demoralized Chris. A silver lining came in the bones of a song however, Chris gave it the title "Panic" and stored it away for future use.

(Guys remember one sentence only not a paragraph lol)

Chris insisted that Pectoralz was the right way to go but Guy got quite angry at the idea of playing gigs with the name Pectoralz, speaking of that- THEY NEEDED a drummer if they were ever to preform

They didn't know any drummers so they invested in a drum machine and called it "Henry" However Henry's drumming ability was very limited and he didn't respond well to criticism.

(I never read the rules, sorry.)

Henry turned out to be a disaster after going up in flames one day during a jam session, so Chris went around campus searching for anyone who could play the drums.

They heard of some Arts major who could play the drums and invited him to rehearse, but he never showed up!

This made Chris really sad, and he began to think his band was never going to get its feet off the ground.
