Bridge Over You appears to be this. [video=youtube;ve1sevQpQLQ]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve1sevQpQLQ&spfreload=10

Drift is most likely one of their original songs recorded, seeing as the Work ID is all the way back in the 3's.

In Isolation is most likely just as old.

Julens Ljus brings zero results, but looks to be an older collaboration with Swedish singer Tommy Korberg.

Papa is most definitely a collaboration performed by multiple artists.

Part of the Plan uses X&Y (title track) as the melody for a rap song.

Reprenons du Depart is a cover of The Scientist by Diane Tell.

Shooting Star is basically the Chinese version of Yellow. [video=youtube;-5AA7zMOYyw]

Should I Go uses the end of Clocks as a loop for a Brandy song.

Sida Vid Sida is, well, I don't know. It's most likely either a cover of Viva La Vida, or samples it in some way.

EDIT: I had to delete the other links due to a maximum of two videos per post.

As found in the other LP7 thread:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dXOYek3pBE#t=14m25s

Interview with Rik starts at 8:30

Quotes are at 14:25

Rik Simpson was asked what he was up to/working on at the moment to which he responded:

"New Coldplay album, LP7 I think it is, which is going well, lots of travelling and recording in different locations but we're still based here in London pretty much for most of our time".

As a follow up he was asked what his plans are for 2015 to which he said "use more modular synths", in a joking sort of manner.

Nothing too revealing in those few quotes. We already know LP7 is in the works and its not unlikely that the band are travelling around to different locations/studios (possibly to work with others/collaborators, get different 'sounds' [like when they went to record a song from viva in a church iirc]). Synths appear to be sticking around for the next album though not confirmed and even so, it doesn't mean they'll be very prominent, so no worries to those who aren't into that sound.

On a different note: I closed the release date window to Q3-Q4 2015.

We know the band aren't likely at all to play Glasto (which is in the summer) and the album is being listed as one of the most anticipated albums of 2015 (http://www.billboard.com/photos/6406578/30-most-anticipated-albums-of-2015?i=540245) so that takes out 2016. So thats where I got the window

Maybe the release date will be on the latter part of the year because it's highly unlikely that they will play on Glasto (based on the interview). That will be different from the MX era.

Minor bump here. I've resized the album release window to include Q1 2016 with the apparent news that recording is going slowly (from a fan who spoke to a member of the band).

And something I caught on Rik Simpson's twitter feed:

Some fans were suggesting that clip was gonna be on GS, some say it was ASFoS, some thought it may be on LP7. All debunked from the man himself.

A tip when searching the songs database at : https://www.ascap.com/Home/ace-title-search/index.aspx

Type in 'BUCKLAND JONATHAN MARK' on the writers section, click on the ID then use Ctrl+F and type '887' to see the newest listings (beginning with that number) including Radio Dial. Try '888' and '889' too just incase (888 brings up a French title, ignore that). It's better to use Jonny's name as its all Coldplay registrations :)

Keeping checking regularly and we'll know the titles as soon as they are registered! :D

Why do people think that this album is going to be out THIS YEAR. 2016 makes more sense, and they need more time to work on it. Plus, if it were to come out Q4 2015, they would be headlining a festival, as they did with Mylo Xyloto.

uhhh, because the band said so....The beauty of this thread is that NOTHING is made up (the opposite of whose line is it anyways, lol /tangent). The thread is 3 pages, read it and you'll find where they said it.

And while you're reading, read the first post as a TLDR. You'll see that the release date I settled on (based on facts and quotes) includes 2016 and is listed under LIKELY not CONFIRMED.

Hello Coldplayers.

The Ghost Stories era is officially over and the hopefully short wait for LP7 is beginning. This is the thread where you will discover all the FACTS we know about this upcoming era. I want to quickly thank the author and participants of the other LP7 thread for generating a lot of useful info.

This thread is not meant to go against that thread but to go hand in head with it. In that thread, discussion is encouraged. In this thread, I anticipate less discussion but more posts of substance relating to what LP7 will be.

I would like to ask for posters to link to sources of their facts. "Insiders" will not be welcome here (BooBooBoo-like users). I will assume all of them are trolling unless they provide concrete proof (none of this, just wait till the day comes and you'll see i'm telling the truth, BS).

Thanks all, and sit tight.

WHAT WE KNOW

-Album is tentatively titled "A Head Full of Dreams"

-LP7 has been in the works since at least summer 2014

-A global tour will follow

-Rik Simpson continues his role as one of the producers

WHAT IS LIKELY

-At least one collaboration

-Release date window: Q3 2015 - Q1 2016

-Synths will continue to be used in some capacity

WHAT IS FALSE

-The band is splitting up after this album

-Festivals/concerts before Summer 2015

-This will be on LP7 (proof)

WHAT WE DON'T KNOW

-Style of LP7

Another fact. The next tour starts in South America. Chris said it on coldplay.com after they cancelled the Mylo Tour in Brasil "It may seem small consolation now but we’ll definitely have your corner of the world at the front of our minds when the time comes to do it all again. Thank you for your incredible patience and support". Then with the release of Ghost Stories brazilian fans (including me) get mad about any shows in Brasil at that time everybody's went on twitter then Phill said: "We don't forget our friends in South America".

their record deal is up. could be a big change of direction after that. and chris said that coldplay will be out of a job soon in one of the bbc interviews last week, meaning the record deal is up.

And that's when it turns interesting. Warner Music chief thinks streaming as Spotify is the future of the industry and the best way to make money ahead but looks like Chris and the guys don't think like that so when Ghost Stories was released it wasn't on Spotify but with Coldplay Live 2014 it did on the same day in all streaming services around the world. Parlophone is on pressure too the new Lily's and new Kylie's was nothing but a flop (sad 'cause I like them both) each sold 200kk copies around the world only. Bowie left Parlophone before it be part of Warner Music and went to Sony.

^ I don't know that it will START in South America, but it'll defo go through there at some point as suggested by 'a global tour will follow'

Also, I was about to add a post about this new song that showed up on one of the music databases, but looks more like a Rihanna song or a song that simply sampled a Coldplay song, not a new song by Coldplay.

That's what most brazilians fans understand. For me the message is clear. They did write a letter just for this.

"It may seem small consolation now but we’ll definitely have your corner of the world at the front of our minds when the time comes to do it all again. Thank you for your incredible patience and support". -Chris Martin

And if it's not then okay they'll come here anyway. But depends on what time the tour starts it'll more likely make the shows in South America first if it's end of the year or beggining. The Foo Fighters made just 2 shows before come to South America with their new tour they're here right now.

For a thread that's trying to stay factual, I don't see anything about that quote that factually says that they'll start the tour in South America. Just because it's at the "front of their minds" doesn't mean that it's at the front of the tour. It must be frustrating for fans in Brazil and South America that the Mylo Xyloto tour was cancelled there, I'm sure they'll make it up to you one way or another.

This is exactly the kind of mindset this thread is about.
