February 23, 200719 yr I really need to get hold of that DVD. And I really hope there is going to be one from this tour, does anyone know? Anything been announced? Having been to a show now, I really want to get a film of one from this tour! I have to say the crowd was really awesome. I've read other reviews on the net saying a lot of people were only there for 2 songs, and only seemed interested when Chasing Cars came on etc. But last night everyone was into every song, certainly all the people around me and I didn't see anyone looking disinterested or anything at any point. Of course Chasing Cars got the biggest roar, as you would expect. But every song was enjoyed by all. And everyone was well into Evermore too. I was also slightly suprised by the age of much of the audience. From other reviews I expected it to be largely teenage girls, aged sort of 13-16 but it wasn't (although perhaps being on a Thursday night, with school the next day had something to do with that). There were a group of about 7 young teenage girls, aged probably 13/14 behind me but I didn't see too many other groups of them. I guess the majority of people there looked roughly my age, give or take a year or 2 (I'm 20) and there were also a lot of 'older people,' like couples getting into their late 30s and 40s etc. Good to see that it's music anyone can enjoy. I took 11 short videos with my phone and just added them to youtube. Click Here Unfortunately, as they were done with a phone they are poor quality, and my phone would only film for 30 seconds at a time. But still might be interesting to have a quick look. Few pics from my phone attached. Also got a few sound recordings if anyone wants.

If you don't like them then what the hell are you doing in a thread for Snow Patrol fans in the first place?
February 23, 200719 yr Exactly. If you don't like them then what the hell are you doing in a thread for Snow Patrol fans in the first place? to quote myself ^^ he has the right to give his opinion but but you're right. if you're going to criticize their music, back it up for crying out loud, don't just say that without giving details and not expect fans to jump on you :dozey:
February 23, 200719 yr he's been doing the exact same thing in the Will thread. Just ignore him..... I have news....... My dad has said he will buy me a day ticket for T in the Park for my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D So now I just have to actually GET the tickets..... Wish me luck!
February 24, 200719 yr To me,Snow Patrol is just your average alternative-poser band, who's sound is just completely unoriginal. Can't stand them really Fair enough. Have you listened to their first couple of albums? They're very different, and weren't mainstream. Perhaps you would prefer those. Then again you might not...
February 24, 200719 yr i really love fire to the third bar atm, can't get enough of this track :P My fave song on SP Eyes Open album, I love it since the first time i listened the song.
February 24, 200719 yr I love SFPB. It's a lot cuter than the last albums, the newer ones are so cheesy sometimes. I love them anyway, it's just very, well, mainstream and ... I don't know how to say that in English.

February 25, 200719 yr Because this thread is about expressing your opinion on Snow Patrol? ...I just got owned.
February 26, 200719 yr Are we all cool here? < hate that smiley but needed to be used. ANYWAYS. Snow Patrol will be the musical guest on SNL on March 17th. St. Patty's Day. March 1, 200719 yr Hi guys! I went to the Key's concert last night. Let me say now that Snow Patrol throws some of the most fun and exciting concerts EVER. OK Go was brilliant as well... I had no idea they were opening! Silversun Pickups were good too.. I didn't really hear too much of them because I got there late and then I had to run to get shirts so I would beat the lines that were steadily getting bigger. D: Here's the setlist: Spitting Games Wow Chocolate Beginning to Get to Me Headlights on Dark Roads How to Be Dead (I almost died!) Grazed Knees Chasing Cars Shut Your Eyes Set the Fire to the Third Bar Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking Make This Go On Forever (he dedicated it to Seattle!) Ways and Means Run You're All I Have ENCORE Finish Line Open Your Eyes Hands Open Tiny Little Fractures Some highlights: -Gary kept cracking gay jokes. Not like, horrible jokes, especially not in Seattle. Just being silly. He talked about how Damien of OK Go woke up with the flu and still sang, following, "I should know, he woke up in my bed!" and proceeded to talk about shagging him. Brownie points! -There was an audience member at the front who was smiling through the whole first few songs. Gary asked his name, and said, "Luke here has been smiling this whole time, it makes me happy and makes me smile. I'm not gay, but you could turn me!" -Set the Fire to the Third Bar... of course Martha Wainwright wasn't there. Gary chose an audience member (who had the same name as me! D: ) and she SANG with them! She was good, a little too quiet, but Gary kept hugging on her to loosen her up. By the end, she was totally comfortable, had the rockstar thing going on. It was a spectacular night. Along with Augustana, one of the best concerts I've seen! And I'm super happy I saw them in September too... if they came around again, I would pay any amount to see them. XD I'll post some pictures soon.
March 2, 200719 yr Just checking in.......Oooo! I love the duet thing. SO very lucky she is! Was the song Eyes Open really Hands Open? If so, then AWESOME. Hope they keep it on the setlist for the rest of the tour. I'm dying to hear it live. Also I'm glad you liked OK GO and Silversun Pickups. I'm so excited to see them both. I really think this will be one of the best gigs I will go to. Thank ya much for giving a report back. But I gotta split. Huge exam tomorrow morning, but I look forward to the pics!

Oops, you're right, it is Hands Open. XD I wrote it down wrong in the heat of the moment at the concert and didn't change it when I typed it up. Hahahahaha. But yes, it was great. And she was VERY lucky. I was doing some work this morning during my free period, and Set the Fire... came on, and I physically couldn't work because I was too busy being all, "Argh so jealous" about it. Hahaha. Good luck with your exam!
