  • Finally a new album from the band! Haven't heard the full album yet, just the 3 pre-released songs and they're great.

Just got my tickets for September in the "fan club" pre-sale which is today. :D

Apparently being a member on their website (ie, the mailing list) is the "fan club."

Would've thought it was something you'd have to pay to join.

Some band's "Fan clubs" are just the mailing list. If your on the list you get the pre-sale links.

Whereas some bands charge quite a lot of money to be in the "fan" club, to get access to pre-sale links.:veryangry:

i actually dont know signal fire yet

Mhm.

I wonder how those guys made it in my top 5 of bands.

Sneaky bastards.

ya i just found it! thanks!

HEY! could anyone give me some Make this go on forever live version? i just fall in love with this song!:)

If you ask in the proper place, as links to audio files are not allowed to be posted in world of music.

When Snow Patrol will be releasing their album again?

I love snow patrol!

My favorite songs are Run, Chasing Cars, Chocolate, Open your eyes, anndd... Its beginning to get to me.

They're awesome!

When Snow Patrol will be releasing their album again?

As Eyes Open came out last year (2006), they are still touring in support of it. Therefore I wouldn't expect to see Snow Patrol's 5th album until at least Autumn 2008.

what a shame.

It takes time these days for a big band to record an album and to get the record label to do all the promo work before releasing it.

Nicky Wire: 'Snow Patrol are Britain's most hated band'

Manic Street Preacher has harsh words for V Festival co-headliners

17.Aug.07 10:45am

Manic Street Preachers' Nicky Wire has told NME.COM he'll be avoiding this year's V Festival co-headliners Snow Patrol.

The Welsh trio are set to play the Channel 4 Stage over the weekend (August 18,19) but the bassist will not be making time to catch the Scottish-based band's performance ahead of Foo Fighters on the main stage.

"Snow Patrol is the biggest divide in Britain. They're probably the biggest band in Britain, but they're also the most hated," he declared. "It's a weird dichotomy for them. They are utterly deplorable, there is something unredeemingly utterly shit about them, you just cannot put one's finger on.

"It's a desperate form of music, the endless repeated lines, over and over, the same drab fucking little thing on and on and on. They're the great losers turned into the great winners, that's their redemption. I won't be watching them."

I know. I've liked some of the Manics stuff, but Snow Patrol are far better.

I think the Wireman might be a bit jealous.

I kind of understand what that writer is saying. sometimes i really love snow patrol. other times i skip every song that shows up from them on my ipod. it just depends what mood i'm in.

Snow Patrol make decent "fun" music. Not all music needs to have incredibly complex and meaningful lyrics.;)

It's good to have songs you can actually sing along to once in a while.

Try doing that with Bjork!!

When you listen to Snow Patrol's first couple albums when they weren't famous they sound different to the radio-friendly rubbish on Eyes Open.

Exactly! I love Songs For Polarbears and When It's All Over We Still Have To Clear Up!

Listen to these albums and you get a very different sense of the band. Raw and rockin! IMO:D

Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking

^ That is quite a mean interview. Not a very nice thing to 'diss' another band like that. :\

Well, anyway... On Snow Patrol's "Final Straw" album, I'm quite fond of the song "Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking".

It has a great guitar/bassy riff.

Anyone else like it? :)
