To be honest, let's just say I'm generally not a big fan of music videos anyway and they aren't that important to me... So, well, I'm not sure about what I can and/or should say about that video. ;) I think it's quite nice, yeah... A bit simple, though... Kind of. But it was nice to see Nathan wearing another colour except for black, so at least that made up for it! :D And I like the animations, too... Some parts really remind me on the one of "The Lightning Strike". :) I must say the song is much more important to me, though! And to hear it in that "clear" version made me love it even more! I don't know, but the song really makes me feel so happy. :cheesy:

AND: "If there's a rocket tie me to it" is on that setlist as well, so actually they played two songs from AHMS. ;)

I felt the same way! Although it we had the version from the radio (obviously the single version which is shorter) it felt somehow like it was ... live. I know, that sounds so stupid but all the talking from the host (:dozey:) made me go crazy after a while. And it isn't THAT great to be on a train, way too many people around you and you listen to some guy talking to Gary.

Oh, yeah, If There's A Rocket Tie Me To IT ... God, I love this song so much, I don't even see it as one of their newest. And you know, I'm always distracted by Crack The Shutters.

Don't think so. Maybe he just thinks he looks best un black. Or he kind of thinks he got a bit fat (he didn't!) and we all know black makes you look thinner. There are old photos of them where Nathan never wears black, so ...

 

But I have to admit, as much as I love Snow Patrol, but the Just Say Yes video reminds me of Polarkreis 18, a German band. And they wear white only. :rolleyes:

It's just totally normal for Nathan to wear black. If I would be a super crazy fan girl (I'm not? :stunned:), I'd say he does it for Gary so that the girls don't only stare at him and look at Gary as well. Because they gave this interview in 2004 where Gary was complaining about Nathan getting all the attention of the girls and he only gets the looks of the guys who want to know which taps he's using. :lol:

I was out of town all weekend, so finally just got to watch their performance on Letterman. They did Crack the Shutters. it sounded great and they looked great, too. They just aired the one song, but after thanking them and saying good-bye to the t.v. audience, Dave said they were going to stick around to entertain the audience. cool!

So my friend did end up cancelling on me, which was very disappointing, but fortunately, I quickly found another friend (the one who I saw Coldplay with last year) who was delighted at the offer.

I saw them September 20 at Gilette Stadium when they opened for U2. I had forgotten why I started liking them in the first place, aside from their music being recommended by someone. Nonetheless when I heard them play "If There's A Rocket Tie Me To It" and "Crack the Shutters" I knew I had to get the album. So I did and it hasn't disappointed, as I haven't found a song I don't like on it..

^I just recently got AHMS, too. The only song I don't love is Disaster Button, but it's a great album. I especially like Engines, The Lightning Strike and Rocket.

 

btw, I just discovered I could download Take Back the City for RockBand... played it for the first time last night... fun!

although they are for the Bristol show, the front row I believe is for guests of the band
