never been a big Snow Patrol fan but i randomly decided to chuck on Final Straw which ive had in my cd collection for years and years but only listened to a handful of times. and i really really like it. the music feels effortless and coherent and has this awesome simplicity to it.

yeah, that was their third album. U might try to listen their previous album. I personally love their second album, especially the song- An Olive Grove Facing to The Sea, what an awesome song, just brilliant!! Just love their albums :D

The first two albums are quite different in style from their work since Final Straw (due to their youth and the absence of their producer Garett Lee who 'brings melodies out of them' quoting gL). The songs are really raw (due to Gary's way of singing so close to the mic or drunk state...lol), almost punkish with no chorus...it's well... different and not the SP people are used to. But just know those first two album are not as 'accessible' as the 3 last.
