Disappointed that Good Feelings isn’t 2nd single and We Pray mostly is. (Unless it is Promo, but I don’t think so 😞 )

Agreed. This is the closest they might ever be again from Viva/EL sounds and influences so I’m excited for once!

It's just a type of song that I don't like. It's the sort of song that you'd get in the background of a limp BBC drama - if it was playing on the radio I'd change station.

It fits into the same category as X Marks The Spot: immediate skip material.

While I get what you are trying to say this song cannot be compared to X Marks The Spot. Maybe you hate it that much but this was a song that took effort while X Marks the Spot didn't (literally made in 10 minutes).

yeah but the person making the original comment hated the song. Personally its my second least favorite coldplay song (just in front of my least favorite, miracles (someone special)

We Pray will be out Aug 23rd ! finally 😄

I'm personnally excited for this song, who else with me?

I’ll try to reserve judgment until the full song comes out but I think (from the snippet I’ve heard) the production lacks the umph that it needs and it had live at Glastonbury.

I felt exactly the same about People Of The Pride when I first heard that.  It could have sounded massive (like Muse or something) but the drums were so low in the mix and lacked any real bite, the whole song just get a bit lacklustre.  However, that song really hits when performed live.

Yes, the band considers the album the closest to Viva/Mylo because they actually put everything into it and were the most themselves since if that makes sense

With all due respect, don´t argue about our tastes, preferences and opinions saying that they made a big effort, put all their heart, blablabla... We´re just talking about what music makes as feel, and I´m sure Bad Bunny or Doja Cat put everything about themselves on their records, but that doesn´t mean a thing, and even less means anybody should like it. You´re confusing lack of respect to the band (which I´m not guilty of, because I respect them as artists and they have given me most of the best times of my life since 25 years ago) with not liking their latest work. I´m all peaceful here, don´t misunderstand my tone, I´m just trying to explain myself the best I can.

Its probably not the best opinion but I cannot stand that song. For me its just trying waaaaaay too hard to be a feel-good song and just comes off as super cringey. The instrumentation feels super generic R&B type thing. And the lyrics are basically saying look at these famous people who struggled, you can be just like them! These alone would not make it worse than X marks the spot for me but the nail in the coffin is the super out of place cringey Big Sean rap. I usually don't like rap especially in coldplay songs. Lost+ is my third least favorite song, but I love Lost! I just feel it takes a good song and ruins it. That being said I really enjoyed we pray and I feel the rap part is okay on that one (I just really don't like that last line "she's a queen she's a goddess" itfeelsreallyoutofplace.)

FLIFIL pt. 2 seems to be at the end of Aeterna. If they put other interludes on a 10-track album, they'd rather make an EP instead

BTW it seems that We pray took the place of Jupiter in the tracklist. It's track 3 now, according to Apple Music... 🤨

I'm not comparing them objectively. Both songs are ones I'd skip as soon as they come on. I exported my own version of Army of One to use on Spotify that doesn't have X Marks The Spot so I don't need to listen to it.
