Hey Briggins, wasn't your OLP concert on Friday? How did it go?

It used to happen to me when I was a kid, though I would usually find them on the floor not my pillow. I finally just stopped wearing socks in bed.

I love Final Straw... I got it for Christmas and it's spent more time in my cd player than almost anything else ever since. Run is one of my absolute favorite songs.

I'm not voting... whether you end up staying or going is your choice. If you can calm down and quit it with insulting people and starting spam threads, I'm sure people are going to like having you around. If you're just going to pick on people, maybe you should leave. Many of us come here to get away from that stuff. I just have one question: I found this in your Bono or Stipe thread: If you don't like Chris Martin, what the hooey are you doing on a Coldplay board?

Where did the news item come from, though? I don't doubt that Cruise is a bit nuts, but the tabloids have been making up alot of weird stuff lately to make him seem even worse. (Not that its all that possible)

I didn't even know what a wotsit was until I read that. :stunned: Does seem like overkill... but that sort of stuff happens everywhere that there's bylaws sooner or later.

I did... there was some sort of a code. I have yet to figure out what to do with it, though.

How is it possible to choose, they're all so good! I'm tempted to just say Chasing Cars- I love it so much, but I don't know. Make This Go On Forever and Set Fire to the Third Bar are right up there too. I love the way those two sound. But I think I'm going to go with Open Your Eyes, because I really like the way that Gary's voice sounds in it, and how the song is all stripped down to focus on the vocals.

That was exactly the reason they chose it. They have a very dry off-kilter sense of humor and seem to like to weird people out. When I listened to them play it on the radio the first time, I couldn't even hear them, because I was actually lying on the floor laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. If I remember right, they said themselves that they wanted to pick the last thing in the world that anyone would expect them to cover.

I never would have guessed that you were 14 :stunned: 18 or 19 maybe. But I've also learned not to trust percieved ages either. I've known people in their 30s who can act like the worst sorts of 16-year-old teenyboppers, and kids like you who could have said any age at all and I would believe it.

I used to have a brain once, but it left when I stubbed my toe one too many times. It told me it was too painful to live with a klutz all the time. I think it was just being mean. :uhoh: :rolleyes4:

I've had Make This Go On Forever stuck in my head for days! I don't know if it's my favorite on the album, but it's one of them. It kind of reminds me of Somewhere a Clock is Ticking- it has that dark intensity to.

I wonder if they planned the question mark out the day that they dreampt up Boone's death? I have a feeling they did... so much for those whining that there isn't a roadmap here... perhaps. :\ The creepy Hanso Foundation commercial is back. :stunned:

Just got it. Heared the leak, but I like having a real copy. :D Such an amazing cd. Final Straw is one of my favorites, but I think I actually might like this one more. Sniggirb, Future Shop had it for about 12 bucks, but I know what you mean with the no money thing... it's kept me from many cds I've wanted lately.

I'm so confused! :dizzy: My very first and enduring reaction...dare I say it... I'm probably going to get beat up for this :P ...oh well... ...it sounds....gah... I'll just say it It sounds like a Britney Spears song. :worried2: :inquisitive: :embarassed: It's the rythm, the inflection in his voice, how electronic it all is... The scary and confusing part is that I really do like it- the chorus, anyway... as long as the rest of the album doesn't sound like that....there's still enough Muse-ish elements left, and its growing on me with time. I really appreciate their sense of humor. This was probably the most amusing way for them to diffuse way too high expectations.

There's a theory going around now that the woman Christian Sheppard visited in Australia was Claire's mom, and that Claire is Jack's half sister! :\ Hooray for island soap opera? :stunned:

They were playing them on the campus radio once, and I tried to tell a friend who the band was. I think I finally had to write the name out, because it was noisy, and the name just doesn't lend itself to good pronounciation. :rolleyes4:

Most band names are kind of weird... this one just happens to be more verbose than most. Love what I've heard of the music, though.

:rolleyes: When I first heard people talking about them, my first reaction was that the hype was going to get even bigger, but by the end of this coming summer everyone would have turned on them. I hope I was wrong, but it looks like its already starting. :uneasy: The sad thing whenever this happens, is that the band may never have deserved the level of hype, but they don't deserve the derision either.
