Which is the best AROBTTH song?
Clocks and Amsterdam, two of thier best piece of art and so much fire to debut of end. Clocks was my favorite Coldplay song, i love how the piano melody conducted totally the song and how it's bulding the message of this song (urgency). And Amsterdam was a touching and beautiful ballad and the ending adding more drama in this song. Love theses two tracks.

Warning Sign - the most beautiful song on AROBTTH
This song was very good has a rock song and the chorus was a ear to all rest in head, it's mixed the vibe of this song with the sadness of this song and was more a sad song about the lost of a people of his life. The chorus said all the truth about the death and the absence. The ending of this song, playing in piano, add a huge extra about the message of this song. A epic and sad song who he explored the death. A very good track and always like this song since i listen the first time in the last month.

Amsterdam or Fix You???
Amsterdam no hesitation. Fix You was the cousin of this song, but Amsterdam touch more with his piano and the organ so sad, his Chris voice so profound and very sad and the ending was adding a touch drama of this song. A incredible ballad and in my top 5 Coldplay songs.

Parachutes or A Rush of Blood
A rush of Blood to the Head no hesitation because this album was a grow has a musicians for the group and have a more strong songs then Parachutes. Parachutes was a good album musically (the ending was my favorite part of the album + Trouble) and good for a debut album, but Chris voice was so irriting in the first album (the perfect example was Shiver, a horrific track) and not always in rhythm with the melody in certains songs of the album. This second album was how the members growing has a artist and songwriting and thier songwriting. Chris voice sound better, depist it's wasn't like he have excellent like with Viva La Vida and Ghost Stories and you hear how Chris improve his voice since the first album. The songwriting and the melody was the reason why this album was a masterpiece. And the second thing, to this was thier definitive sound before the released of the fourth album, because A Rush of Blood was more rock to Parachutes and less ballads oriented to the first album. X&Y just continue the sound of the second album (but in a worst thing). I know this topic was seventeen years but i love this topic and a great choice of his favorite between the two albums.

WORST COLDPLAY ALBUM TO DATE
I was dissapointed when i listen this album in the last month. This and X&Y was easily thier worst albums of the group. I easy two time in theses two albums and it's never changed at all. I never finished totally the X&Y album because it's irritated all the time during all the album and i stop after the ninth track in the second listen (except The Hardest Part, then i already know and always like and my favorite song of this album) and didn't wanted to listen again, i remember to liking the title track in the first half, but not the rest (and Fix You was so-so, not bad, but not a excellent ballad like Amsterdam, The Scientist or Trouble). The fact it's the video of Talk was better then the song himself. And i never finished the Mylo Xyloto album (never hear the ending track). And when i listen the second time X&Y, i listen A Rush of Blood to the Head the first time and was a more confortable listen at the first listen and liking so much the album and wanted to listen again, because except for one track, no garbage and after the second listen, i adopted this album and buying the cd (The second CD Coldplay of my collection after Everyday Life).

Track 10 - My Universe | Coldplay X BTS | Music of the Spheres
I was the only one who this song was the success of this album? Because Higher Power received limited radios diffusions, while in this, this song received many diffusions in radios and was very well received by the radios pop and rock in my country (Canada). I heard only one time Higher Power in radios, while in My Universe, it's received many airplay and was thier biggest airplay in the station radios then i listen since Something Just Like This. For example, in Canadian hot 100, depist it's debuting at n.9 and fall the top 20 the next week, the song spent 20 weeks in the charts, including five weeks at the top 20 (depist the chrismas songs charted at this period) and 18 weeks at the top 40. This video was also very good, i love how creatives theses videos of this era, in Higher Power and My Universe, the videos was so epic. I didn't the first listens of this song, like i have with Higher Power and Coloratura, but after to hear so much times this song in radios. Many station radios promoted so much the first weeks of the album to playing My Universe all times in all stations radios. The canada not listen so much the rap/hip-hop so much like in US and was more folk country and pop then in US.

LP8 Thread - Everyday Life
This album was masterpiece. It's was the first album of thier discography to listen after i listen the Music of the Spheres album. And after listen the discography, this album was my favorite Coldplay album. The group explored at this album a more experimental sound. It's evident in this album who this album explored many unconventional non-radios styles like chruch, Asian and the ambient music. I appreciate the variety of this album outside the unconventionnal musical styles, the album also explored jazz, pop, rock, folk and gospel. Daddy (my favorite song of the album) was very personal for Chris, who he made a introspection about how his two childrens missed when he was in the road and not always there for Apple and Moses. They also made many politics and very hard subject in Trouble in Town and Guns. I love the transition between the middle with the sound of the ring of chruch between the second part (God=Love). It's was a masterpiece and not skip at all at this album. Neither others Coldplay album did battle this album here (not A Rush of Blood to the Head, my second favorite Coldplay album).

Ghost Stories, release date: 19 May 2014
Same after the listen but realized to this album was one thier best albums and didn't listen the second time, but this album was in my top 3 albums (my others was Everyday Life and A Rush of Blood to the Head). I wasn't sure if Chris and the others members writien and recording a very dark and personal album like this. I wasn't attarded for A Sky Full of Stars (depist it's was one of thiers biggest hits), at the surface, it's was a happy song (consider it's was a EDM song) but if you look the lyrics and the vocals, the vocals and the lyrics was very sad and emotional, It's remains at the same thing when Janet Jackson did the sad lyrics but a happy beat with the song Together Again.

Intro to Lovers in Japan = U2
I noticed that the first time i heard the song in the music video. I always like the music video, very artistic and a mix of politic and art paint of this video. So like a paint of mountains in the wall, so beautiful. This song was remains a lot of the sound of U2 when i heard this song. With Brian Eno at the command, it's evident the influences of U2 at this song because of the rhythm of the song and also how the construction of this song was build. I always like this song and sound very like fresh then when it's came out.

Ghost Stories, release date: 19 May 2014
This album was a beauty. It's was more synth-pop, new age and ambient music and it's was haunting to the debut of end. Outside the horrific ''Magic'', this album was a huge beauty and this was the album who Chris deployed all his emotions in his voice in the album, to debut of end, you hear all the pain, the madness, the sadness and the drama of his voice (including in ''A Sky Full of Stars''). He cited thier most personal album and all the emotions that Chris have after the separation with Gwyneth, he put all of the table. I didn't hear a personal album like that before for the group since thier debut depist it's have few personals songs before (like ''Fix You''). For me, this album was a therapy for Chris and helped him to starting a new chapter of his life after her relation with Gwyneth ending and for the good for his two childrens. The next album was a way to he passed a another chapter and wanted to amusing after the depressed mood of this album. This album, like A Rush of Blood to the Head was a masterpiece and a album who i wanted to listen every time and many wasn't expected who Coldplay released a very dark album. Midnight was my favorite song of the album.

🪐 Coldplay: Music of the Spheres 🪐 | Out Now! | Discussion
This album was unexpected for a Max Martin production. Because i know the producer for his work with Backstreet Boys, Céline Dion, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Weeknd, etc.. and this album was not expected for this producer and less with Coldplay. Because thier Max Martin sound production was more commercial at the base. But not this. This album was very experimental and so much a album sound like a sountrack to listen of a movie in a space. This album sound not a album formated for hits like the others Max Martin production. This is the album that i wanted to listen the discography of Coldplay (a first of a group) and after listen the rest, i think it's was a very good listen of Music of the Spheres, but some problems with Biutyful (the chikmunks speeding voice of Chris wasn't sound good like in Cry, Cry Cry) and didn't like at all People to the Pride. But Coloratura was the best piece of art of the album. A masterpiece this song and my favorite of the album (i also love Higher Power, Human Kind and Infinity Sign).

The Viva My Viva Apprecciation Thead (song, not album)
I remember in 2008 when the music video came out and the song came out. Because Violet Hill was a mix of his old work and the sound (and a perfect single to relies the public the three first albums at the album). After the released of this song, it's was unexpected of the public because unlike the other singles, this song was pop oriented with some hispanic influences and was also hugely the string arrangements. I like how it's sound and Chris used all the colours of his voice and the calm of his voice. Definitely a prelude of thier later work like Ghost Stories. I remember also the Grammy Awards who the group perform the songs Lost (in the piano only) and Viva la Vida and so iconic.

First Coldplay Song/Album?
X&Y and Mylo Xyloto was my least favorites Coldplay albums, i didn't stand at all at theses two albums. I remember the interview of 2008 at the time of Viva la VIda, who Chris said that his natural singing voice (consider that he was a baryton) was more lower and wanted to used more the colours of his lower register in Viva la Vida album. It's was a before and after Viva La Vida. It's sound better in Viva la Vida then in the three first albums. To debut of end, his voice sound very profound, like if singing with the heart and very harmonius. It's was a after and before, for me i noticed that amelioration in his voice the first time with Viva La VIda album, and Chris himself noticed that at the time of released.

Is the ending of Politik the best ever?
I was trying to listen this song few times before and stopped, because i wasn't fan of rock at the base, and always stopped after few seconds before i listen Music of the Spheres. but i wanted to make a chance when i hear a live version of this song (in 2002 in the french canadian TV Musique Plus when the album came out) in Youtube, and WOW. A epic song and a incredible opening of the album. The ending was so epic, Chris voice sound like a instrumental in the end of the song, because it's confonded with the musical vibe and pair so well and shaked all of my body (soul, heart and all over my body) and the two crash in a good way this song. This song was a perfect song for music fans, slow in the verses and rock in the chorus. The song was a statement of compassion for the victim of 9/11 in New Work and wasn't just sad and dramatic, but also so empathic. A piece of art.

Amsterdam
I discover this gem after i listen the album in youtube in the last three weeks. Love totally this song after the first listen. In my top 5 favorites songs of this group. Clocks and Amsterdam was my two favorites songs of the album. This last remains so much similitude with The Scientist (consider theses two songs was the only ballads of the album), not just the way the song was composed, but also, the sadness, the moody, the pain in Chris voice and also how theses two songs was so sad and emotional. Also, vocally, he sound beautiful to debut of end and the harmony was fire. Not that i not like The Scientist (it's was in fact a song then i like very well), but Amsterdam was special and strong for me. I think Fix you (depist i wasn't a huge fan of this last) was the cousin of this song.

Which Coldplay Album Would You Consider the Band's Masterpiece?
The masterpiece was Everyday Life and A Rush of Blood to the Head. One was very experimental and explored so many unconventional styles like chruch, asian and was not a album for hits, and a huge piece of art. and also Chris voice was touching and very good so vulnerable in Daddy, so personal and deep. And A Rush of Blood to the Head, because of her composition quality musically and lyrically. Politik was the perfect song and sound more vulnerable then in surface and a epic song, slow in the verses and rock in the chorus. Depist Chris voice sound better to Parachutes, it's wasn't sound always in point in the rhythm (i noticed that in In my Place in particulary) to the debut of end like in Viva la Vida and Ghost stories. But it's didn't low the quality of the composition and how the songs sound (except The Whisper, the only bad song of the album) in the album.

First Coldplay Song/Album?
No, i easy two or three times and Mylo Xyloto didn't appear on me at all. At the other hand, i wasn't a fan of rock, but A Rush of Blood to the Head was a masterpiece, A Rush of Blood to the Head wasn't just for rock music, but for all fans music in general because the major thing that became a masterpiece was the quality of the songwriting and the musical. It's also a better album to the first album, whe depist it's was a good album, it's wasn't have this huge songwriting quality and Chris voice was irriting at some time. It's not irriting in Rush of Blood like i have in Parachutes and some songs have very good vocal performance and sound beautiful. Fortunatly, Chris voice sound better with the years in the albums and live, i noticed that after Viva la Vida.

Where were you the first time you ever heard Violet Hill?
Me it's was in the TV channel with the music video. My favorite Coldplay video of the group. So deep, creative and very dark and expressive video. The video express perfectly the ambiance and the mood of the song.

Coldplay Likes Lost! a lot more than us
This was always my favorite song of the album. A mix of chruch, rock and gospel music in this song and this sound so epic of how this song bulding around of this chruch ambiance. So different and so good excellent. The live was also so excellent. Also, like the rest of the album, Chris voice was so profound and so beautiful to debut of end. A magic moment of listen.

First Coldplay Song/Album?
Clocks was the first song i heard of Coldplay in radios in 2003. I wasn't interest so much of the group until Music of the spheres who after i listen the discography, i listen all thier albums last month and i prefer thier albums after Ghost Stories (i was more at the base RnB, pop, jazz, gospel, instrumental, dance and House) then the albums released before (except A Rush of Blood to the Head and Viva La Vida).

Adele
I re-up this topic. Because she released in last november her new album 30. A album very influenced by the jazz/soul of 40's and 50's and was inspired by her divorce in 2019, she write this album after the divorce and was very intimate and personal. After the folk-pop of 19, the RnB/soul and motown of 70's of 21 and the pop/electronic of 25, she recording album more inspired by this period. It's was my second favorite album of her after 19. I was a fan of Adele since 2009 and she have a huge respect about how she was good has a songwriter and singer. So much gems like Love is a Game, Easy on Me or Can i Get it.
