Same here! Along with Because of the Times. Its a fantastic album and how they managed to record such great songs after all the drama with Caleb is super cool. KOL are the greatest rock band of their generation and also hugely underrated. We need to get this thread going again guys. So what are your favorite songs from Mechanical Bull?!

That video was horrendous; and all the kissing wasn't the main issue. I remember watching it for the first time and just being lost for words. It was the worst in a long line of attempts to appeal to a new audience. You know, the kind of people who like Chris's new friends one direction and the likes. But of course most people on here probably think they were being artistic and evolutionary. Which is bullcrap. They're responsible for some of the best music videos in history though so I don't mind a few hiccups as long as they don't continue this route. Pretty much like the music. If Atlas was any indication as to what we can expect, I'm optimistic.

I entirely agree with the rest of your post but not this part. Coldplay of today is in no way similar to the Coldplay of 2002. Their identity has changed dramatically and their only similarity to how they were 10 years ago is their line-up and the instruments they play. I would be happy with a 2015/16 release. Would be nice if they REALLY took their time with this one! hahaha thank you so much you cracked me up :lol:

yeah that also sounds great I really like the idea of the band working on stuff with Chris away. it could give them the creativity and freedom they need without Chris's dominant presence.

I actually think at this point in their career they need more songs like A Whisper, Politik and Daylight because of their edgier rock sound. I wouldn't mind heavy rock either because it both satisfies my taste and would shake off their sweet sugary teenager-in-love pop image

you're right its very forgettable. I've already started regretting giving it a 10.
