Coldplay singles and old EP:s?
you can look at 991.com and/or MusicStack i got the original Fierce Panda release of Brothers & Sisters EP from 991.com while The Blue Room EP i got from a seller on MusicStack (i only got the CD formats btw). i believe they're both UK-based sites & both shipped to me all the way in Singapore, which is like the other end of the planet :P ...so i don't see any problem with shipping to you in Sweden.

Chris and Jonny
hmmm...actually, i was taught that both grammatical forms are acceptable depending on whether you are following Queen's English or American English grammar rules. guess Chris mixes up his English-es... (lame joke alert) btw, love your siggy!

Campaign: to get Guy Berryman on Top Gear
agree with you there. those 2 did pretty well when they're on Top Gear & Simon's pretty cocky (as expected). so it'd be pretty cool if Guy could 1-up them. of course, if he can top any of the F1 drivers, that'd be simply awesome...tho not really likely since that's a separate table/race. :P

Acoustic Set
awww...no U2 songs (yet) on your setlist? my suggestions: With or Without You - U2 Walk On - U2 One - U2 See You Soon - Coldplay Prospekt's March - Coldplay Lovers In Japan - Coldplay The Planets Bend Between Us - Snow Patrol Run - Snow Patrol Grazed Knees - Snow Patrol

What Coldplay song do you think is the best lyrically?
i think i do...i always liked The Scientist in general. but i used to think of it as "the depressing song with the creepy video". then i recently learnt to play the song on the guitar & i realised that the song's really got a sad touching story to tell. else i'd go with See You Soon, Prospekt's March & Glass of Water as other good Coldplay songs lyrically. i don't think i can really put my finger down on any specific song as "the best"...

The 2012 Motor Racing Thread (F1 & More)
2009 is truly turning out to be Button's year! well done to him & the Brawn "newbies"...cos i think they've pretty much got this year's championship sewn up in their pockets.

Hello Malaysia!
^ *lol* what can i say? i'm pretty open minded with what i'm willing to listen to... :laugh3: (BUT i draw the line at 'dangdut' music!) & good to know that it's not just me who found the many labus at that place funny! i feel less weird now. hehe

Buying a guitar
based on the music you are intending/expecting to play, i'd say go with steel strings. :)

that's better than me already! the only time i found out about their existence was a YouTube video of James Morrison playing 'Broken Strings' live with Girls Aloud singing Nelly Furtado's part. so that doesn't even count as a Girls Aloud song. :P & as much as the Pussycat Dolls are nothing more than slutty eye candy, a-chan's right to say that they've got more int'l exposure than Girls Aloud outside of UK. oh, well...White Lies & Jay-Z i can still live with at least... :)

Viva la Vida Misprint?
got my copy of Viva La Vida (CD) a couple of days after the album was instores in Singapore & there's no Coldplay or album name on it either. also noticed that the copies of Viva La Vida now instores are the usual CD jewel cases, whereas the earlier batch was the digipaks.

Coldplays 5th - Parachutes II??
& i third that. i love their acoustic stuff from the Parachutes era, but then re-hashing Parachutes would be like going backwards rather than bringing on something new. that said, something in the general direction of the acoustic stuff in Prospekt's March (the title track being the case in point) would be great. i'd also really like to see how the middle eastern influence would work out on their music. :)

Hello Malaysia!

HELP: Laptop screen has no display!
is there any image at all on the screen when it powers up? if there's no sound at all, even the Windows chime, after a while then it might be a hard disk problem & not the screen or Windows.

Matchbox Twenty
agree with you there. i saw them live in Melbourne during their Mad Season tour & they were great...even if Rob Thomas was just like 1-inch high from where i was. :P

Hello Malaysia!
i got horribly lost in Seremban driving back from Singapore last wk/end & somehow ended up going thru some back roads that led to Nilai to get back onto the highway i was meant to be on. beware the road signs in Seremban & Nilai! it's really disorientating to follow a sign that points Kuala Lumpur to be straight ahead only to see another sign at the end of the road you were on pointing that Kuala Lumpur is back the way you just came from. on the flip side, i discovered that there's a "Pumpkin Village" (Kampung Labu) near Nilai & the village's welcome sign actually had a pumpkin on it! & the river that ran thru the village was called Sungai Batang Labu (Pumpkin Branch River)! .......ok, i'm easily amused.

well.......i'm not really the tallest Asian around, so maybe we need more "little Asians" so as not to be dwarfed out by you tall Caucasians. ;)

U2 Should Follow Coldplay's Lead
so you're throwing down the gauntlet there for Coldplay fans to party harder at the gigs going forward then? ;) but then, seriously, nobody really goes to a concert thinking how interesting or cool they are gonna look on a live video recording. & the same "boring" Coldplay fans could very well be the same "people jumping up and down in the pit" at U2 gigs. not trying to start an argument with you, btw. & i think the OP probably just picked U2 cos he/she likes both U2 & Coldplay too. i know i'd do a similar comparison & wishlist too...heh :D personally i would just sit around twiddling my thumbs for the day a band i like do some special fan service for us fans...be it something that´s been done before by another band or something totally out of the box. it's the effort/thought that counts, imo.

Important information for overseas Coldplayers with tickets to the Summer Stadium Gigs
gawds...that sounds like just the type of situation i dread finding myself in on that day! :shocked2: which was why i made the IDD call just to ask about getting the ticket earlier. else i admittedly would never really have been arsed to make that call. oh, & Ticketmaster's FAQs & Help site were of no use for me...all that clicking around just to get a phone number to call cos they never replied to my email enquiry. grrr arggg. i didn't actually get a guarantee from Ticketmaster. it was more like an advice, imo, from the girl attending to me over the phone that box office collection is my best bet to make sure i have a ticket physically on the day cos the ticket's "already there" (her own words). eh...seems like different customer service reps give different answers? :inquisitive: i was told by the lady i spoke to (& in a rather confident tone too, i might add) that i could pick the ticket up from 12pm onwards on the actual day. in any case, i plan to give Ticketmaster another call when i'm in London to double check on the collection time/day again. i don't really wanna incur any more IDD call charges (they're a pocket killer!) just to call them about this issue. if possible.
