  1. ^ Interesting yes, how opinions differ
  2. Don't worry too much about it... Chris has had it before. He'll be alright, he just needs to sing less  It happened on their previous tour to America, I just hope they don't cancel too many shows, poor guy ;)
  3. ^ Yeah, I agree... Radiohead are good merging jazz (and other "traditional" styles) with modern stuff. They've a way with music :)
  4. Hi Cameron, welcome back! Nice to see you around back where u belong :D There's been a lot going on, especially along the political arena :)
  5. I was looking at metacritic.com's review of X&Y (not bad, 70 out of 100) and chanced upon this interesting review on Cokemachineglow http://www.cokemachineglow.com/reviews/coldplay_xy2005.html It's old I'll admit, and there are factual inacuraries (I think), but it has a sly wicked sense of humour and it's heart is in the right place, though maybe misplaced in some parts. The review can be scathing at times, but I found passages like one describing X&Y as resembling music made by a "1970’s progressive rock band..." illuminating. Some were just downright outrageously hilarious (or offensive, depending which way you look), like calling Twisted Logic an offensive Ok Computer C-side :o for its laziness
  6. It's sad how now almost every country threatened by terrorists wants to take the opportunity to bring itself closer towards a police state... It wasn't so long ago that this country (and some others) was criticised for being undemocratic by having laws that allowed the detention of people without charge. I just feel cynical and sad about this state of things... Where have all the beliefs about civil liberty and "innocent until proven guilty" gone? Whither privacy laws? Or did they all disappear the moment it became apparent that we are vulnerable terrorist targets after all? So much hypocrisy and double standards, and that makes me sick... Or were you all really so naive as to think that there were no grounds for some lawful, democratic countries to still retain liberty-limiting 'draconian laws' to maintain public safety?
  7. <-- Ex-BSB maniac! Used to be so nuts over them, less so now :P Still love them though, they can sing... Millennium's the one :)
  8. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=342392&cc=4716 Another committee... Their bureaucracy is getting ridiculous
  9. Maybe they could make the ads less 'political'... Change them so there won't be any political slant, then relaunch them. But I think the solution is to ammend the regulations... Someone needs to lobby to have the law changed
  10. I wanna join CFU!!! What do I do next?
  11. I think itunes is better too... At least sound quality-wise on the free versions :)
  12. The answer is absolutely, undeniably, irrefutably... yesss!!!
  13. Well, she may not be very feminine-looking... But if you thought Guy always looked a lil' gay then maybe it adds up... A little more 'man' to balance things up? :) I dunno. I'm kinda happy and find it refreshing that there're apparently 'rock stars' out there who marry people who may not be pretty by any conventional standards- credit to him (Guy). I like him more for it (obviously I'm not very good-looking myself) :D .
  14. ^ Definitely R.... They're so Yellow, didn't u know?
  15. I counted 59... So many different replies, I wonder why is that?
  16. Ya... this one has so much more drama. West wing is subtle though gripping in its own way ;)
  17. Re: d Haha... Sorry a little late here. What I meant was to treat this bling-giving exercise as a way to see how humans react to various (unexpected) situations... I mean the obvious reaction to this one would be not to give bling and ask Cold RadioMuse to earn it instead. But on the other hand, bling serves not much purpose in real life... so people might not be too attached to it. Like me, I wouldn't really mind giving bling to anybody who asks, especially if he/she is a regular here or been uploading like crazy :D
  18. Nick, could I ask you a question... What do you see in George W Bush that makes him such a great man in your eyes? I mean, what are the qualities / what has he done that makes him better in your eyes than other leaders, so much so that you feel so compelled to defend him even past what we perceive as gross mistakes on his part?
  19. Rodents of unusual size???
  20. Square One... For taking us on a journey and bringing us back again... the song that sums up X&Y beautifully
  21. A very happy birthday to you Kasia! It's your b'day today (same age as me) :D... One of our "oldest" existing Coldplayers and beloved moderator!!! Let the celebrations begin :juggle: :joker: :jester: :hat2:
  22. ^ 10/10 for a :lipsrsealed2: pix of Chris... priceless!
