Adele is a cow. A cash cow. A product just like Katy Perry but sold to "adults" not 13 year old girls. I love her, she seems genuine but there's a gargantuan machine behind her. How else explain the record shattering numbers behind this ordinary album? She makes music that will appeal to her core audience and for now only takes shy excursions to a different sound. For instance, she loves Frank Ocean and Drake and wants to do a cover of Hotline Bling but her label probably won't allow her to deviate from her signature sound.

Yikes. I may have been overzealous when praising this album but I'm perfectly aware that it's not very good. It's cheesy and corny and Toys Я Us, however I can't help myself, I just like it. They have been on a steady decline since reaching their peak with AROBTTH (Clocks even won a Grammy for Record of the Year, something I keep forgetting). The honest truth is - they have nothing substantial left to say. It wouldn't be too bad if they split for good.

Why is the deadline December 13th? Why not the 20th if everyone agrees? We'll have more than enough time to count the votes till the end of the year... I think Ghost Stories is underrated, I mean it's last on my list too but not because I dislike it for what it is, it's because it has 3 weak/cheesy songs IN A ROW: Magic, Ink, True Love AND THEY ALL HAVE VIDEOS. :freak: I don't even hate them really but I would definitely substitute Ink and True Love with Ghost Story and All Your Friends and keep Magic (I like the instrumental, but the song is just not lead single material). That way it's pretty flawless and very Oldplay in sentiment but in production too. If Parachutes were made today it would sound like Ghost Stories. The general atmosphere of the music era an album is made in and the current studio equipment somewhat unwillingly influence the sound. Also almost every band sooner or later delves into a more electronic and intricate sound. Dunno what this has to do with LP7 just thinking out loud and revisiting GS after AHFOD. Carry on... Adele Either her or Frank Ocean if he's not too big of a star. He was asked to accompany them a couple of years ago but had to decline. I would actually cease living.

What disappoints me is that people judge it for WHAT it is not HOW it is. Hip-hop = automatically abysmal>not worth listening>worst song of cold play ever>must kill self. It's decent. Well produced. He didn't make a fool out of himself. I say you go gurl :wacky:
