Have you heard of Grant-Lee Phillips? Recently at UMGD where I work, my buddy showed me a few of his tracks. In all honesty, I was interested in his stuff. With a full band behind him, GLP brings it! I would say he sounds like indie/classic rock/pop. I am a huge fan of Coldplay and am really digging this guy, so I think you would probably too. Check out the website if you are interested. Apple is facing a fine of more than £300m because it makes customers pay more to download music in Britain than in the rest of Europe. The company charges 79p in the UK for a song from the iTunes store, and 99 euro cents in Europe - meaning that British listeners pay an extra 12p. It's the start of a new year, what album are you looking forward to the most? I've heard that a bunch of artists are coming out with new albums this year. At the top of my list is Switchfoot's new album Oh Gravity. I checked out two new songs on their Myspace page. I've listened to the song Oh Gravity at least 10 times today. ;)

Even extreme success in pop music across the pond doesn't always translate in America. British bad girls Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse worry me. But not because they troublemake with Lohanian intensity and devour London tabloid space like Britney does here. No, my concerns are more selfish.
