Abba star Bjorn Ulvaeus has been accused of avoiding paying 87m Swedish kronor (£6.5m) in taxes on the band's hit songs and musicals. The Swedish government has demanded he repay the money. They say he did not include the correct royalties on tax returns from 1999-2003. Abba have sold 370 million records and he also co-wrote the musical Mamma Mia. Ulvaeus's lawyer told a Swedish paper the tax agency did not understand the musician's tax arrangements. Officials said Ulvaeus handed over his royalties to companies based abroad and used offshore banks to avoid paying tax. Next year's Glastonbury Festival will be the biggest yet, with 20,000 more revellers than in 2005, organisers said today. Festival impresario Michael Eavis said he hoped nearly 175,000 people will attend in 2007. He revealed plans to expand the site beyond his own Worthy Farm, taking in an extra 100 acres from neighbouring farms. Mr Eavis said he hoped the extra space would make life more comfortable for festival-goers if the 2007 event is hit by bad weather similar to the rains that turned the site into a quagmire in 2005. A man allegedly shot by rapper Proof, shortly before Proof was himself shot and killed, has died in hospital. Army veteran Keith Bender, 35, had been in a critical condition since being shot in the head at the CC, a nightclub in Detroit, Michigan, one week ago. Police said witnesses reported that Proof shot Mr Bender during a dispute and was then shot himself by Mr Bender's cousin, Mario Etheridge, 28. Manchester Passion is a contemporary retelling of the last hours of Jesus's life through the city's musical output.
