During Coldplay’s lengthy hiatus to record ‘X & Y’ there emerged a slew of bands that, if we’re being charitable, felt inspired enough by ‘A Rush Of Blood To The Head’s potent blend of pianos, yearning vocals and communal choruses to get out and make their own music. Hey all, I hope I can do this. I just felt like sharing my own solo project, PHX. I record myself playing various instruments and overlap the different layers in order to provide the complete sound. I've done 2 covers so far: Porcelain by Moby (complete with "drums") and a track from the original Doom. This is a thread for those of us not good with the search. The search of lyrics that is! If you know a few lines of a song, but don't know what's it's called, or who sings the song... post em here and hope someone can help.... If last year was Ottawa's ultimate year of rock, this year is sputtering along as if it's going to fizzle out. In one month, Donald Fagen, Nine Inch Nails, Sheryl Crow, Hawksley Workman and MC Rob Base all blew off dates in Ottawa. There were various legitimate reasons, mostly health-related, but so far only Workman has made it a priority to reschedule (May 8, Bronson Centre). A new date for Crow is to be announced today. Recent concerts by superstar artists such as Coldplay, Nickelback and Hilary Duff drew well, but there were seriously underattended performances. Just out of curiosity, i was wondering what radio stations people on here listen too, because as coldplay fans im guessin people listen to staions such as, Virgin radio. I myself listen to Virgin radio most of the time, and sumtimes Magic but thats only for the phone-in on a weekday night :lol:
