Gendercide: China's shameful massacre of unborn girls means there will soon be 30m more men than women By Peter Hitchens Last updated at 10:14 PM on 10th April 2010 Comments (0) Add to My Stories In the cruel old China, baby girls were often left to die in the gutters. In the cruel modern China, they are aborted by the tens of millions, using all the latest technology. There is an ugly new word for this mass slaughter: gendercide. Thanks to a state policy which has limited many families to one child since 1979, combined with an ancient and ruthless prejudice in favour of sons, the world's new superpower is beginning the century o…

That's according to Ben Bernanke, our chief counterfeiter. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20100408/ts_alt_afp/useconomybankdeficit_20100408091746 Yes, it turns out the only reason this country appeared so prosperous (while having relatively low taxes) was due to insane amounts of borrowing from other nations. And you'll start your diet tomorrow. And you'll start waking up at a good time... next week. And you'll start regularly exercising, just as soon as that new gym opens up that's across from the mall. :laugh3:

It wasn’t for me and my wife, says Andrew Sachs By Daily Mail Reporter Last updated at 1:17 AM on 11th April 2010 Comments (0) Add to My Stories Andrew Sachs and his wife yesterday accused Jonathan Ross of showing off after he called the Sachsgate affair ‘hilarious’. In an interview, Ross said the notorious incident – in which he and Russell Brand left obscene messages about Mr Sachs’s granddaughter on his answerphone – was ‘intrinsically unimportant’ and ‘fun’. He also failed to express remorse for upsetting the actor and his family by making the calls, broadcast on Radio 2 in October 2008. Upse…

A syringe of milk and lots of TLC for the youngster who fell to earth By Mail On Sunday Reporter Last updated at 10:01 PM on 10th April 2010 Comments (0) Add to My Stories Like Squirrel Nutkin, who escaped from an owl in Beatrix Potter’s much loved story, five-week-old Charles is lucky to be alive. During bad weather last week, his nest, or drey, fell out of a tree, leaving the little red squirrel alone, at the mercy of predators and exposed to the elements. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/US-court-rules-against-FCC-on-apf-78990100.html?x=0&.v=4 "Net Neutrality" is a way for the government to assert authority over the business decisions of ISPs, which would effectively make all ISPs the same, destroying the possibility of competition and innovation. Governments also like to argue taxpayer money be used to expand ISP coverage in rural states, but it's unnecessary - the ISPs should be required to grow their customer base organically (using the profits from existing customers, as well as other means), just like every other business. Government handouts and regulations lock existing structures into place, which slows …

Hey all. I've got a mobile phone...and I've been stuck in a sort of SOS call mode for about 15 mins now. Here's how it happened! I was messing around on my phone, and I went onto this PIN thing (to enter my PIN number). It turned out it was wrong. Then it asked for something called a PUK code (wtf?). I have 2 options now: Enter a PUK code (which I have no idea what that is) or call an SOS number (112, 911, 999, 000, 08...etc...) I call any number, then immediately hang up, hoping to get out of it, but it takes me back to the "Emergency Call" screen. If I choose back from here, it takes me to the "Enter PUK code" If I enter any PUK code, it asks me for …

Hi! I just got back from seeing it in a preview and I have to let out my BIG disappointment. :bigcry: I knew the reviews weren't that good and I heard everywhere that it wasn't received very well at the Berlin Film Festival... But I am a huge fan of Leonardo's work, starting with movies like "This boy's life" until now so I went to see the movie and make my own impression. If this was a first movie by some new filmmaker I'd say "ok, there is potential" but from Martin Scorsese who did "Departed" etc? :wtf: The story could have made a brilliant movie. This work isn't. The dream sequences are horribly filmed. Was the colour of the blood meant to be "art"? Hi…
