haven't seen Howl's Moving Castle, oh i really should go look for it!!

Spirited Away is probably one of my all time faves. Howl's Moving Castle is going to be shown here at some point, so I'm looking forward to that. Christian Bale is in that, he rocks.

Secondhand Lions

..was in the afternoon programme on TV yesterday

Really nice movie actually, with legends Michael Caine & Robert Duvall as bitter, grumpy old men with a brilliant past.. And wonderful Haley Joel Osment, who hopefully rises up as one of such legends one day, he surely deserves it..

Pride and Prejudice

10/10

Yup - that was excellent!

Cold Mountain

8.5/10

I wasn't quite sure was i gonna like it or not..

The movie is about American Civil War after all, and i'm not a huge war movie fan.

Anyways, i really enjoyed watching it, mainly because of the actors.

+ I love romantic movies

Glad you liked it!

Though I'd rate it with perfect score :P

well, i'm very critical, I suppose, but I recognize it was really good, I couldn't avoid to cry, there were some dramatic scenes in which I couldn't hold back tears.

tell me a little bit your impressions of the film...

Mark go and watch it if you can. I'm sure you'll like it!

Hey I liked it :P

Laws of Attraction

Hmm... 5.5/10

I don't know what to think about it, it was kinda junk, that typical "romantic" movie, but I'm ill and I liked it a bit, cause I wasn't bored that much.

Well...first of all...the soundtrack. It's amazing how does the music fit EVERY situation, and how it emphasizes the atmosphere.

Another plus - four stories, four cultures, four dramas.

The actors are brilliant /well, Brad & Cate for starters :)

Then...Japan. /I love that story.

The consistency of the characters (which's really rare nowadays)

As I said...so many cultures...and as many languages.

Morocco & Japan...Inarritu really chose well for the place where it will all happen. Then, also in Japan storyline, when that girl went to a club...he/the director puts us in her shoes (deaf) which was a really great effect :nice: / and dramatic

And the despair that revolves around everyone...no one's really perfect, y'know? Well...in short words...LOVE it.

I think it's my favourite film of all times.

I just saw it this evening and it was certainly very moving and excellently filmed.

It was a great first film of 2007 to have seen.

Um,

I think i should rent or even buy it since everybody's just saying how amazing it is.

I was supposed to go to the cinema to see it, but then i didn't have time/money to go..

I'm not a fan of Brad Pitt, but he seemed doing a good job in this movie.

I know...but he's done great job. As all actors, actually.

Meaning...I just love the cast.

you're right, its soundtrack was really good, specially when the Japanese girl goes to that discoteque or for example, when Brad and Cate are in that bus... just a few minutes before she'll be hurt 'cos of that bullet. But, oh well, as you said it was really well-chosen. And the attention the camara pays to every single detail before the dramatic facts happen.

Yeah, definitely none is perfect over there, everyone has its own faults, there isn't an hero... but this is what makes it better, 'cos this is how ppl in real life work.

I wanted to mention the japanese girl, who played in my opinion the best character of the whole film. That scene where the inspector comes to her home, and that moment, which she appears undressed in front of him and the way she wants him to kiss and hug her and when he finally rejects her and she begins to cry and tries to shout... that was really terrible. The tears were streaming down my cheeks 'cos of her situation.

I couldn't agree more.

Her situation was very horrible.

/I bought its soundtrack :smug:

Scary Movie - 9/10 i love it

The Hitchhiker guide for the glaxay - 10/10 amazing movie :laugh4:

^I love that movie too, not your average movie :laugh4:

The last one was... mhm, let me think, I remember being in the cinema...

Ah, Scoop! Twasnt so bad but not really a Woody Allen movie that leaves you stunned and understood and still totally amused. 6,5 out of 10 I'd say.

Before that I had watched Y Tu Mama Tambien several times. 9.5 out of 10 for sure. Maybe even 9.7 It's just so beautiful and sad at the ending.

Plus hottest kissing scene ever. Although too short...

51 Dates

A 10. Seriously cute.

I cried. Haha, not funny.

Deja Vu

Brilliant, entertaining and thrilling! It might be incredibly unrealistic, but it truly moved me!

9/10
