I thought the movie could be better. There were changes during the battle... Some of them in which I wish they didn't change.

Just gonna rant. Don't click, unless you want spoilers. If you haven't watched the movie, that is.

They cut out scenes like the Ravenclaw common room - the part where Harry uses the Cruciatus curse. And I wanted to see Fred die in that manner... Plus the Bellatrix-Molly duel was cut too short. :bigcry:

I'm fine with the change of the Shrieking Shack to the glass house. But no enchanted cage for Nagini either? /ugh im too petty

I know changes are important for the movie, but just as long as it's not too drastic.

Maybe it's just me and what I expected from the movie.

But have to agree that the graphics and sounds were really good. And gosh, The Prince's Tale was done beautifully, really. I just didn't like the script in itself; the dialogues were rather stiff.

That's so bad it's actually funny

:D

Went to the midnight premiere, dressed up as a dementor. My whole family went, actually...we had Hermione, three dementors, Hagrid, Moaning Myrtle, and Rita Skeeter; it was pretty great.

So I saw the movie! Went to the imax theatre and barely made it! I had to run a lot! And made it during the previews, I would have been so sad if I had missed even a minute.

anyways the movie was great, it was a nice ending. You could definitely tell they gave it they're all to make it justice. I hated to see what happened to Ron's ex girlfriend :(

it was very emotional, but I managed not to cry. I was holding in any tears because I knew I would not be strong enough to control my sobs :( but then I heard all the sniffling so I wasn't alone in trying to not to cry :P

Aw and the ending with the harry potter theme song. Reminding me of how it all began. Im so happy I got to live through something as amazing as this. It will be in history and ill know I was part of it. Growing up with Harry potter was so amazing and great :D

And I did wear my gryffindor shirt :D saw many others wearing HP outfits. Including this one girl that seemed to have the entire uniform, it looked really good :D

Oh and it was definitely worth it to go to the imax theatre and pay a little more to see it!

Saw this one yesterday and I really loved it. The details were explained really well this time (*coughhalf-bloodprincecough*). Cried my eyes out.

I'm glad they did the final part justice. Like most people here I grew up reading and watching this beautiful story, so it's a little sad to say goodbye, but they did a great job. :smug:

And now I've got a big urge to start reading all the books again. Old obsessions FTW!

It may be the end of an era but Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part II is going out with a magical bang.

The boy wizard's final adventure has cast a spell over 'muggles' everywhere and has taken a record-breaking £295.6million globally, according to Warner Brothers.

It has defeated the previous record set by Batman's The Dark Knight by $10million, and now holds the title of the biggest ever all-time opening weekend.

TOP FIVE SINGLE DAY BOX-OFFICE GROSSES

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 has taken a record $91million at the box-office in one day. Here are the five biggest single days at the box-office:

  1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - $92,100,000

  2. The Twilight Saga: New Moon - $72,703,754
  3. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse - $68,533,840
  4. The Dark Knight - $67,165,092
  5. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - $62,016,476

The film has taken £23million in the UK alone and Potter-mad fans flocked to American cinemas spending an impressive £104.9million.

The magic has also spread to the internet with over half-a-million 'likes' being clicked on the film's Facebook page taking the total number of 'likes' to 29,774,978.

North American takings confirmed it had made an estimated $169million between Friday and Sunday beating The Dark Knight which took $158.4million in its opening weekend.

It also broke the record for the most money made in one day by amassing $92,100,000, making it the most profitable day ever for Hollywood.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is the eighth and final film in the Harry Potter franchise and the first in 3D.

Neither The Dark Knight nor The Twilight Saga were released in 3D and this will have helped the Potter film make more money.

It has already broken records in Australia, Italy and Sweden and France for having the biggest opening day in history and now it is the highest-grossing Harry Potter debut.

The earlier films have generated more than $6.4billion (£4billion) in ticket sales since the first movie a decade ago, plus billions more from DVDs and merchandise. The films are based on novels by British author J.K. Rowling.

The record-holder for any of the eight Potter films so far is the first in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which has amassed $974.8million (£604.8million) globally.

Loyal fans eager to say farewell are expected to drive big numbers for the conclusion of the battle between good and evil in a fantasy world of witchcraft.

Film-goers, some sporting Potter-inspired costumes, queued at cinemas for the first showings and events coordinated with screenings.

Many early screenings were sold out before the movie had even opened.
