Unfortunately, due to the postponement of the upcoming U2 US dates, Interpol has had to rework its summer tour schedule.

 

With the exception of four shows, we have had to cancel our announced dates. Shows in Rochester, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Allentown will be happening. The rest of the shows will be rescheduled. If you have purchased tickets for a cancelled date, please contact the "point of purchase" and get a full refund.

 

We lament the change in plans, apologize for the inconvenience, and assure you that we'll do you right - when the time is right and the light is nice.

They don't play near by me, not even close. Dislike.

However, after three years of waiting impatiently, it was about time. Though i'm not really into Lights yet :\

Check around...there's some decent quality streams of some new tracks performed at shows this week ("Summer Well" & "Success"). Supposedly the tracklisting is also floating around, but I haven't been able to find it yet. Today, Matador bumped up the album release date to 9/7 (in the U.S.)!

 

And best of all...at last night's show then traded out C'mere for STELLA!

I'm going to get tickets for their August show.

Interpol's self-titled fourth album enters the world September 7 via Matador. Now, we have a slightly better idea of how the thing will look. The Matador website is displaying a small image of the album's cover art, which you can see to the left. It looks like somebody smashed Interpol's new logo with a bowling ball.

 

Below, you can see the album's tracklist. If you're one of those people who think Interpol doesn't have a sense of humor, I'd like to note that there's a song on the album called "Always Malaise (The Man I Am)". Case closed.

 

The album is now up for pre-order, and pre-order copies include an Interpol poster and 45 adapter. Matador is also giving away a few Antics-era signed Shepard Fairey silkscreened prints. Click here for more info.

I bought Antics yesterday and haven't gotten into it yet, I think the only song I like by Interpol may be Untitled :embarrassed:

I love C'Mere on Antics. One of my fav. songs.

I get the feeling I could get into it after a couple listens, but it all sort of blurred together for me, sounded a bit like the same song the whole album.

Yeah understandable, they do have a pretty distinct sound and don't deviate from it all that much.

Take You On A Cruise is a wonderful song. my favorite on the record...

 

Evil and NARC are great as well

Give it time...I think it takes time to to appreciate their layers.

 

They were amazing! I couldn't believe they were only 4 shows into the tour -- they were so tight! David Pajo fits right in. Honestly, I was like, "Carlos Who?" Paul's voice is really strong -- not that warbley-sheep voice he had during "Our Love To Admire." I'm not quite sold on "Success" yet, but "Summer Well" & "Lights" are great live. Especially "Lights." It builds perfectly. I'm going to try and catch them again before they head over to Europe.

There have been tweets that suggest some people have heard it, so it's out there. I don't do leaks so I don't know if there are any torrents floating around.

 

It's confusing because it's been reported that "Barricade" will be the lead single, but "Lights" is the lead video. Supposedly they've soundchecked a 4th new song but haven't played it yet.
