David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.

This is sad news. :(

Last friday I saw an item on the news about the release of his new album.

Because it was something totally different, jazz inspired I was thinking "another one who is changeing his ways of making music".

He gave us a lot of fine music.

RIP. I didn't know his music apart from his masterpiece Space Oddity... Another musical luminary leaves us

It's because of him if I got interested in music at all when I was 9. Hurts to see one of your heroes passing away. RIP

Such a loss to the world. He was an absolute genius and one of a kind. His new album is a masterpiece and more extraordinary knowing he wrote and recorded it when he knew he was dying. RIP.

This post is true on all levels. It was such a shock this morning when I seen he was dead:cry:

Devastated. The man's a true legend, a true genius. Music won't be the same without him. Rest in peace, Bowie.

I only ever knew a few songs by him, but he was a legend, respected by all and an inspiration to many artists!

 

It was truly unexpected but Im glad he could work/function until almost the very end. He certainly leaves behind a great legacy in music!

Really shocked by this news. We lost our dearest legend in 2016. Let his legacy lives on. RIP David Bowie :(
